Cargo roof addon

HI All,

I have a 2006 jeep liberty and I need a roof mount cargo carrier... I'm find the cross bars are as much as the carriers, wow.

I'm looking for something clever someone here may have done or a product they had really good results with... I dont mind spending $400 to get a cargo carrier mounted but $300 for the cross bar and then $300 for the carrier sound liek a lot to me.

This is a gift to my girlfriend so I'm trying to save some $$ and not spend $600
