Can 06-07 steering rack be installed on 05 KJ?

Hi,

I know that 06-07 has different thread for inner tie rod, but except that will it fit?

There has to be some differences, as Rockauto lists a different pump for 07+, different high pressure hose. I'd look for an 05. This ain't a job you want to start and not be able to finish because the part is subtly wrong.

Rockauto lists the same part number for the steering rack from 02 through 05 & a different part number for 06 . I was looking at ones for the 3.7 V6 engine .

Let's see, for the amount of work it takes to get it out and then back and then back in. I'd think I'd buy new than buy a used one that could go out in a week. But that's me.
