Ok so these are the rubber well nuts attached to the ubolts.

This is how high they sit above the bolts

You can see its all rubber at the top.

And metal threaded at the bottom (sorry this ones blurry)

They have some pretty awesome flex

Heres another option I didn't like as much, This doesn't give the kayaks enough protection. and just wits on the top as opposed to being threaded.

I meant something like:
You must be registered for see images

This will keep the bolt down below the top side of the rail. then just get some of those chrome hole plugs you can find at most hardware stores

I would take pictures as the older ones aren't visible anymore.

I'm planning on doing the same, on same purpose, carrying kayaks :)
