battery blew up plz help

2002 jeep kj 2.4 Cyl. manual trans

My gauge cluster went haywire then radio cut off. I engage the clutch everything comes back on. 1600 rpm electrical cuts off again jeep is still running. my battery blew up replaced battery and had the alternator checked three times. same results, replaced the battery temp sensor in the battery tray, checked all the fuses nothing. unplug the alternator jeep runs fine no issues at all plug it in boom back to the same thing overcharging the battery. the only thing I can figure out is my pcm? is bad because that's where I read the voltage regulator is. any advice would be helpful

Check the battery wires for failure.

But yes, probably PCM. Get a dealer to scan with drb3

So I dropped my jeep off this afternoon at my local jeep dealer. Waiting to see what they have to say.
