Ball Joint Symptoms

I'm getting close to 65000 mi. on my 05 Liberty Rocky Mountain. I'm a little paranoid about the ball joints, after hearing all the problems with them. I punched in the VIN#s on jeeps web site and it said no open recalls. Would there be a noise or vibration or some other symptom that would indicate they need replacing. Thank in advance

Thanks for the reply, I checked like it showed on the how to section about a week ago, but had no one there to help while I looked underneath. If driving would it make any noises or steering vibrations. Everything seems fine, but after hearing horror stories I'm a little paranoid. It seems like most of what I hear it is a problem with Jeeps made before 2005. Is this correct? Thanks

I realize it's money, but have your ball joints replaced with greasable Moogs. Consider it maintenance. You'll sleep better.

Thanks for the info and advice. I checked mine and all looks very good. No steering issues and no movement. I guess I'm a little paranoid about it since I hear about so many problems with ball joints. Thanks again
