Just wondering If someone can shed some light on this for me... Here is the issue. When driving slow on an incline it sometimes seems to slip on the downshift from 2-1 for a second If I don't give it time to engage before I hit the gas . Seems only sometime like if I give it gas when it's in mid-shift. When I'm crawling around in the bush like this should I turn off Over Drive? Also I dunno if its at all related but it happened for the first time today. I was in drive at full stop but it seemed as tho I had my foot on the gas. Instead of idling at 600 it was more like 1000. Shifted into park and shortly after the idle dropped. Got it to repeat this when in park. Reved it up and it was stuck at 1000 for a minute then dropped to normal rpm. I had the hood open to see if the throttle was returning all the way and it was. Any ideas much appreciated. Thanks.

The slight 1 second loss in power sounds pretty normal. I've had 2 transmissions in this Jeep, and I only experience it with the current one. Just a very split second when I'm going up hill. But it usually catches and that's that.

That's been my experience. If you are very concerned, bring it to a notable ****** shop and have the CVI numbers pulled. If they're out of range, your transmission is failing. If not, bring it to the dealer to get a fluid flush and you should be in the clear.
