Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Does your brake lights work? If not replace the brake switch attached to the brake pedal, should be fairly cheap and easy to replace.Recommend OEM replacement part, stay away from aftermarket junk.

Being as the speedo does not work also better be checking the wiring to the speed sensor on the rear diff and/or the sensor itself.Again OEM parts only,if the wiring is bad a pigtail can be had from the dealership also and is the most common issue for no speedo. No speedo should also throw the OBDII code P0500.

When I tried a search on P0573 on this forum:http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44871&highlight=P0573

internet TSB from June 10 2005 for 05's came up. http://www.carcomplaints.com/Jeep/Liberty/2005/tsbs.shtml
TSB #0802905 NHTSA ID #10015800
looks like some reprogramming took place...

There was discussion here too..http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f28/vehicle-malfunction-light-242237/
But TSB seems to relate to to 4x4 light coming on...
With the speedo out and odometer, sure makes me feel like a ground wire or something is not right from the BCM or wiring into the Cluster. Was any mods done for alarm or stereo etc around the dash?

Thanks, The brake lights work. its more like a stuck brake, but so far I have not found out what it is. I had the dealer Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) but it did nothing.
I have a nav unit in the dash the picks up the speed through the pcm (a wire runs out to it from the stero) So i would think its not in the wire up to that point
again thanks for any help
