i have jeep Cherokee 2003 renegade, and i was have a problems in the engine cooling system lately and it cause the engine to over heat.

the problem was in the electric fan and i have fix it,after that the radiator was leaking and i have change it.
and now the main fan is in working fine and i find the clutch is dead.

i have an idea to cancel all the fans to get some space and i put one big electric fan or maybe two electric fans.
because i am from the middle east the temperature this year maybe it will get to 60° C, so i have trying to get a good cooling system to keep the A\C cold and the Engine on the normal temperature.

what do think guys is that a good idea or not .

Twin electric fans might work. But from my guess it would be a fully custom solution. You might consider overriding the temp sensor on the electric fan so it would run all the time. I'm a little confused though, yeah, the middle east is hot, but contrary to the opinion of the rest of the world, this country has areas which are as hot if not hotter than the Middle East.

Phoenix
Mojave
Other various areas in eastern California, Southern AZ etc.

Surely there are plenty of KJ drivers in these areas that might have an opinion?

cherokee4ever, Have you ever had a professional HOAT flush done, and replaced the thermostat?
Adding a single constant running fan pushing in front of rad (behind grille) should be enough to keep it cool, if your system is clean and all including clutch in good working order.

If your clutch and electric fans are fully functional and your radiator is new then your engine should run just fine even in the middle east climate. Also to insure the best airflow make sure there's nothing in front of the rad like a big winch or lights.

Is it possible to buy/install a triple core rad for the Libby? That would help.

I don't think you can remove the clutch fan and simply install a higher capacity electric fan(s), there's more involved. The OEM electric fan is two speed and how it operates is a bit complicated. The FSM details it quite well.
If you installed a different electric fan setup you will need a custom setup which is still doable.

Interesting question.....i have often wondered how good and reliable the stock electric fan only cooling is??
I have an 06 sport without the HD cooling......i often wonder when sitting in traffic with the AC on at 90 something outside......any worries? The gage never budges from the center, but i have learned i think the gage is more of an 'idiot light' gage and does not show true temperature. Anyone have the electric fan crap out on them?? Or are they pretty reliable??
thanks...and sorry to post a similiar question under this post

Nah, no worries. The KJ stock cooling system should be just fine for any street driving you'll do in almost any climate.

As for the electric fan some have had theirs die on them, but it's an easy replace. Sometimes, however, it's not the fan but the sensor that engages it.

thank you for your response and trust me we are in Saudi Arabia we have the highest temperature in whole middle east and when i install the fan it will be done professionally and it nat just remove and install and connect.

My KJ has seen 120 degrees, never ran hot. I have the electric fan, and mechanical fan.

when i first buy my KJ it was great never run hot but when i go to the desert that was the first time i saw the temp goes near the 3/4.

me too in 2wd even in 4wd but in 4Lo in hot weather it will rise up.

i have replace the thermostat and for the radiator it is new i buy it from 5-6 months ago and i am sure the clutch is dead because is running too mush slow in last two weeks

yeah i know it not that simple but yesterday i thought maybe i will keep the OEM electric fan and i remove the mechanical fan and i put another electric fan but there is not space for it and for the wiring and the controlling i have planing for it two weeks ago.
