Would it be possible and what all would I have to do to put a 3.8 v6 from a 2014 jeep not sure what model into my 2002 liberty? My liberty has the 3.7 v6 and is 4x4. I have a motor that was given to me that was pulled from a wreck and mine is about worn out and could be rebuilt but if possible I'd like to just swap it for a newer engine that's already ready to roll.

You left out money. The main problem is trying to shove 2nd gen CAN bus engine and computers into a PCI bus vehicle and make it all work correctly. It would be easier to install it in OLD vehicle that doesn't have modern electronics at all. Even putting newer CAN bus stuff into an older CAN bus vehicle isn't a straightforward process.
