I'm actually not done because I'll have another strip of LEDs close to the firewall and another under the hood shinning down. Plus all the wires will be hidden and I'll add a switch.
These are waterproof by the way

Interesting idea. I think if I was going to do that I'd just put a strip down either side of the hood for those times when you have to work on the Jeep on a dark night run :)

Where can one get one of those strips? I could use one of those in my cargo area as the light that Jeep thought was in the smartest possible location... um... isn't.

Actually I just started selling them.
A strip like that with 30 LEDs(20inches) is 24.99 plus $6 flat rate fee for shipping to anywhere in the US and Canada, no matter how many you order. They are available in 15,30 or 60 LED strips. So 15.99, 24.99 and 49.99 respectively. These are the good ones, not the cheap oes some other guys sell or the ones found on fleebay.
They are waterproof not weatherproof so they can be completely submerged, flexible, and have a lifetime warranty. They come mounted with 3m automotive tape, so all you have to do is peel the paper and stick em on.
If I get enough interest maybe I can become a sponsor on these boards????

I have them in bright white like in the pics, blue, red, green or amber.
If you're interested you can send me paypal at [email protected] and maybe I can talk to the site Admin about sponsoring if enough orders come in.
I also have some mounted inside my KJ on the pillar and the cargo area.
Super low amperage draw between .026 and .041 amps per strip depending on size. Average strip is around .47 watts. 12V DC

I would make one in the smiley shape and put it under the grill up in the front. :)
