I found a good deal on Craigslist for someone trying to sell the rims from their rubicon. They are 285 R70 17. My current rims are 16” and my treads are running kind of low, so I’m looking to buy some new tires anyway. Could I make these 285 R70 17s work with a lift kit? If so, how big of a lift kit? Will spacers work/be worth it?

With 6 inches of lift and a regear to at least 4.56s

But then there is no 6 inch lift available and then if there were it would be 3000 or so, not including a regear
So get practical and look for sizes that actually work

and no spacers will not work, they never work, forget that route

By the way those are a 33 inch tall tire, stock is 29, 4 inches does make a huge difference

yea a buddy of mine helped me do the math on that a few hours after I posted this. Probably going to go with 30” tires. Thanks for the response
