My 2012 Liberty is giving me a bit of a hard time today, and I can't quite pin it down.
I parked it in my workshop a couple weeks ago (hailstorm precaution) and yesterday I decided to change the power steering pump on it. (Rebuilt pump I installed seems to have cured the hard steering issue).
When I went to start it to try out the new pump, I just got a few rapid clicks and everything went dead. I didn't think much of it, the battery was 7 years old and had been sitting a couple weeks. I took it out, put the charger on it and a couple hours later reinstalled.
Starts right up, and was able to drive it around the property a bit to test the pump........But it's gone crazy. Right on startup I get a no Bus message and everythings nuts. Wipers on high, headlights, no horn, no radio, front windows wont function, nor power door locks.....
I took the battery out, did a power drain w/terminals touching, key on for a few hours....No change.
I notice every couple of start attempts it gives the "almost dead" battery effect. Rapid solenoid buzz and no start. Yet the voltage checks out ok on the battery.
I went over the battery connections, a few grounds, went through the fuses/relays, no change. Took a new battery out of my Postal KJ and no change.
Anyone have any thoughts/advice?
