'05 or '06 EVIC/OTIS in an '04?

I know you have to use at least an '04 EVIC/OTIS (not an '02 or '03) in an '04 Liberty not originally equiped, or it won't work right (or at least that is what I read on here when I searched). But can you use an '05 or '06 in an '04?

You could but you will end up paying more for it... I know it sounds silly, but when I was shopping around they always wanted much more for the newer models. Then the wiring was a little different, so you will have to change that around, too.

I ask because I see ones for '05's and '06's on ebay all the time, but have only ever seen one for an '04 since I started looking. How is the wiring different?
