So after many years of faithful service, the liberty took a turn for the worst... And out of no where too.
It was -20, Drove to the store, no issues. Went inside for about 10 minutes. Came out a started the jeep and got a loud pop/ knock right after cranking. The sound is like something metal slapping the plastic portion of the throttle body.
Limped it home checked the error codes, it showed misfire on multiple cylinders and cylinder 3. I pulled the coil packs. Cleaned them. Replaced the plugs. The error codes cleared, but the sound is still there. Added some seafoam in the off chance there was water in the gas and drove it around the block. The noise was still there and I feel the pop in the gas petal when it occurs.
When I pulled the plugs there was moisture in the gap, but it smelt and felt like fuel, not water.
There is a of power. There is no water in the oil or ******. When I get home I can post a video of he sound
What are your thoughts?
Thanks
