02 KJ 6 CD Changer question

Ok gang, thought I would ask the experts.

When I picked up the beastie, it has a 6 pack in the back. (Now I really like that)

So here is the deal, do I lose it if I swap head units away from stock? I know the wifey don't care, I just don't want to clutter the beast up with CD's if I dont have to.

Any ideas?

Honestly never thought of that. I upgraded to a single din Bluetooth unit, then a double din unit a week ago. In my opinion, I'd say ditch the 6pack it may cause more of a headache than you think.
