I'm taking it to my buddy tomorrow who's a mechanic to let him try. I mean I tried with both hands and couldn't get it out and I'm a pretty stout guy. I'll try again in the morning and see if I can get it.
I have to go over there anyway for him to change out the high pressure switch on my a/c...
Ok, for the life of me I cannot get the connector off. I'm afraid I'm going to break something. I've came back to this thread like 10 times and I still can't get it disconnected. I have everything out of the way and pulled the red tab back and pulled. I tried prying with a flat head too. WTF?
I think I'm going to just hold off and order new 16x7's. That's what my wheels are now and my tires are still in pretty good shape. I'll just wait til I need new tires and do the tires and lift at one time.
Haven't heard back from him yet. I know they came off a late 09's Jeep though.
Edit: I just heard from him. They are 15x8 but he's not sure on bs. They're on his '97 Explorer right now.
Ok, another dumb question. I just ran across some Soft 8's (15" with 33's) that I can pick up for $100 (wheels only). What would be the best tire size to run on them until I can get enough money up for a better lift than the Daystar?
Hmmmm, I just ran across some 15" Soft 8's for a steal ($100) (wheels only) but they have 33's on them. What tire sizes do you guys run on this size for a NON lifted KJ? (03).
What's so hard to understand? The wheels on it look like shit. The ones in the basement are the stock wheels that I don't like. As far as the lift, like I stated before, I don't know much about lifting a Jeep. Educate me. I have money and believe in doing things right the first time.
Not at all. Just look like crap. I just want something nicer. I actually still have the stock wheels sitting in my basement, the spare still has the original tire on it with 0 miles.
I hear what you're saying but the wheels are shot and need replaced. I want something that looks nicer. Wouldn't a 245/75 rub without a lift? I just wanted something subtle. I just want to get it off the ground a little more.
It's a daily driver. I just need something that's good for snow when winter comes around. I work for the railroad and go to work at all times of the night so the roads aren't always cleared when I go to work.
I don't post on here much but I need some advice on some tires for my 03' Liberty. I'm about to order the Daystar 2.5" lift and some Cragar Soft 8's. I really can't decide on 16x7 or 16x8. This was my wife's car before and ever since I sold my SRT-4 it's become my daily driver. It's in drastic...
My next car will be a C5 Vette (Z06) but until then the Jeep will have to do for fun. These are things that I wanted to do from the time we bought it but with 2 kids the wife worried about getting in and out of it. Sounds like a great plan. I'll let you guys know when I get everything together...
Thanks man! I love my car but honestly I just don't drive it. It's an 05 with 40k miles. That sucks about the other SRT. Fortunately for me and my car, I'm 33 and have some common sense. I've never dynoed the car but I know of some with almost the same exact mods making 325 hp. I'm no bench...
