No, I never did. I went ahead and took the assembly apart but I wasn't able to see any manufacturer or part number on the bearing and it didn't look like any bearing I'd seen before. I think it had both rollers and balls in it. I had to replace the entire assembly.

My 2005 CRD Liberty's coming up on 250,000 miles and the bearing in the cooling fan pulley is getting a bit noisy. New and even used pulley assemblies are pretty pricey so I'd love to be able to just replace the bearing but I'm not sure if this is possible. Has anyone ever done this?

I've got no place to plug in to. My two other diesel vehicles ('97 Passat and '02 Excursion) both start up no problem just with glow plugs. It's going to get a lot colder than 25°F too.
