The skid already had the brackets attached. I bought the skid off moparpartsamerica.com for $48.96 + shipping. Their catalog listed the cheaper bracketless skid (and didn't list this newer one). After I placed the order, they said that Chrysler had revised the skid and wanted me to confirm...

I just put the front skid on my 06 last weekend. It already had those brackets attached. It was part # 82210769.

You're supposed to remove the A pillar covers and the sun visors. That will give you enough room to slide the bracket above the headliner.

Hmm, I might try that. The section towards the windshield is holding fine, but the section towards the back is what came loose.

For those of you that had to add the bracket, what sort of adhesive did you use? I used some heavy duty double-stick tape but I guess it wasn't heavy-duty enough and one section came loose. Any suggestions?

I'm on the hunt for TrueTracs for the front and rear of my KJ. If you have one that you'd like to get rid let me know. The part numbers are: 912A553 for the Chrysler 8.25 rear 912a585 for the Dana 30 front (912A314 is an older model, I'm open to that as well). Let me know what you've got.

Are the KK rear seats the same dimensions as the KJ rear seats? I wouldn't mind swapping in KK front seats, but the fact that the rears didn't match would bug me.

What's the procedure to get under the shift bezel? Does it just pop out?

I have an 06 with a sunroof. I just have the map lights up front and the cargo light. I guess a light over the back seat would get in the way of the sunroof.

One with sunroof controls will work fine. You'll just have the sunroof buttons but they won't be connected to anything. You could always find a non-sunroof housing later and you could put the 07 EVIC module into that one if the non-functional sunroof controls bugged you.

EDIT: Changed my mind, I'm going to hold off on any upgrades for a while.

Midnight, do you know which model number is your DTT? I think there are a couple revisions. I'm interested in it.

Finally got my EVIC installed tonight. I got lucky and found a 2006 EVIC off car-part.com (my KJ is a 2006). I had an EVIC from a 2004 but it had TPMS which I didn't want to fool with. I also had a 2005 EVIC that worked great but lacked sunroof controls and swapping the housing with the 2004...

I have an 04 EVIC w/ TPMS and sunroof controls. if you want it. I was going to post it for sale sometime soon. I was going to use it on my 06 but I don't really want to deal with TPMS.
