    PCV Valve

Where's the general location of that plug? I wouldn't mind being able to keep that fan on full time when off road to keep things as cool as possible.

My Dealer is a RIP OFF!!!!!!!!

I love dealers. I just got done buying a new Liberty. We were doing the deal, and I said give me $500 additional off the price and I'll sign the paperwork. Sure enough the salesman comes back and shows me the sheet with $500 additional off. So I get ready to go to the finance room and...

    PCV Valve

Sounds fun. How do you do it? How do I unplug the compressor? Where is it?

    2006 Jeep Liberty

What is the deal with this? I've noticed over the years whenever I take my vehicle to a mechanic almost always something is screwed up or something else breaks soon after. I can feel my blood pressure rising right now just thinking about it. I don't know how to work on my own vehicle, but I...

Chevy SWB Silverado 5 spd to Jepp Liberty 6 spd?

Just in case you're looking for one person in the world that doesn't like the 6-speed manual transmission on the 2007, I am that guy !!!! Everyone else loves it from the reviews I've read, but I just can't get used to it. So make sure you test drive it and like it before you buy it, so you...

    Tranny Cooler?

I think on a 2002 it is integrated into the radiator. If you see a small radiator on the driver's side that is probably the power steering cooler. Just pop the hood and follow the tubing and see if it goes to the power steering reservoir.

Manual vs Automatic-----Who Would Win the Race?

I just went out to look at my tachyometer. It goes from 1 to 7. Redline is at 6. I have the 6-speed. Are the redlines different depending on auto vs manual, 5-spd vs 6-spd? Maybe that's part of my problem. Maybe I've been looking at a different tachyometer than other people.

Manual vs Automatic-----Who Would Win the Race?

I don't want to race anyone........was just having lots of trouble taking off from a stop. On my way to work today things got better. I think I was shifting out of 1st and to 2nd too fast before because I read too many things about keeping the rpm's below 2500-3000. So this morning I tried...

Manual vs Automatic-----Who Would Win the Race?

I couldn't start in 2 because I was on a small uphill incline. I can switch to 2 real fast (in fact you have to get out of 1st quick), but when trying to switch gears fast I end up jerking and jolting all over. With my old pickup I could shift as fast as I wanted and keep it pretty smooth...

Manual vs Automatic-----Who Would Win the Race?

Well my problem is that when taking off form a complete stop with my Manual I either have to go extremely slow, or try to go fast but jerk and jolt all over the place (and I still can't go very fast). Watching the Automatic pull so far ahead of me from the stoplight made me jealous. I've had...

Manual vs Automatic-----Who Would Win the Race?

I just posted in another thread that I pulled up to a stoplight next to a Libby with automatic. They were halfway down the road while I was still screwing around in 1st and 2nd. I had to start in 1st because I was on a small hill. Do you have any tips that would have helped me to keep up...

Tried Out 4-LO Today ----- Ugly Sounds !

Just got back from testing out the 4-LO again. This time I put the Manual in neutral and pressed the clutch down. Worked much better........at least it sounded much better ! O:) Getting from 4-LO back to 4-HI is somewhat of an artform though. I tried multiple times, but kept getting to...

Tried Out 4-LO Today ----- Ugly Sounds !

Ok. I'll give your method a try. Thanks. Do you think I broke anything when I switched out of 4-LO while going 12mph. I felt kind of sick after I realized what I did. The poor little Jeep is brand new, so I'm paranoid that I damaged something now.

Tried Out 4-LO Today ----- Ugly Sounds !

Yes. Once in 4LO it was like a tractor. What should it sound like when you are switching to 4LO?

Tried Out 4-LO Today ----- Ugly Sounds !

I didn't really have trouble getting it into 4-lo. It just makes an ugly thumping sound when you switch into it and when you switch out of it, and it kind of jerked and jolted around. What should it sound like when you switch to 4-lo? Hope I didn't hurt anything when I mistakenly switched out...

Tried Out 4-LO Today ----- Ugly Sounds !

Yes. The manual tranny was still in gear. The instructions said to just push down the clutch. Was I supposed to have it in neutral also?

Tried Out 4-LO Today ----- Ugly Sounds !

I went out to some dirt roads to practice activating the 4-WD since I've never used 4-WD before. 4-HI was no problem, but 4-LO sounds horrible. When I shift into it or out of it there is a terrible thumping sound that just doesn't sound healthy. Is this normal? I slowed to 2-3mph...

    Finally Bought My Liberty !!!

That's good to hear. Out here in Oregon it seems like an excellent choice. So many people just drive to work on the weekdays, but when the weekend hits you can go hit the slopes, the forest roads, logging roads, fishing holes or whatever. Maybe it'll make the drive to work better knowing when...

    Finally Bought My Liberty !!!

Thanks for the tips. I can almost guarantee I'll screw it up the first couple times, but hopefully with your advice I'll be able to get out of the mess I create.

    Finally Bought My Liberty !!!

I plan on practicing this weekend either in some snow or out on a forest road. 4-HI doesn't sound too tough, 4-LO sounds like it could be more of a challenge to get to though. I'm sure it'll be easy after a few times.......I just don't want to damage anything during the learning curve. Once...
