I honestly haven't had them long enough to recommend or not, and like you I didn't find a huge amount of reviews on the web, but I think they're pretty new - replacing the ATR from what I've read.
I did a quick google and read some positive things but went more on the recommendation of my...
I have been trying to get Grabber AT2's for months, finally gave up. On the recommendation of my tire guy, I am trying out Cooper Discoverer AT3's in 245-70-16 on stock 05 Jeep and steel rims. They look pretty good, and so far I've been happy with them on the road. No more snow to test in...
We have plain old bacon, like you have, comes in strips, then we have "back bacon", sometimes known as "peameal bacon", which you call "Canadian Bacon".
Bacon:
Canadian bacon, back bacon, peameal bacon:
Now I'm hungry...
Now that we have both coasts represented I'll welcome you from the middle!
Well not quite the middle but I don't think we have anyone from Winnipeg here... :)
I've been looking at the Generals, they are top rated for snow and ice on Tire Rack if that's a concern, reasonable price, and they come in 245-70-16 which the Duratracs don't.
Probably pick myself up a set soon.
I honestly think enthusiasts have a tendency to over-value their junk.
Cause I have the bestest, super duper-est Black 2005 Jeep Liberty on the planet you know, so it's worth more!
Let me be the first to say welcome!
Hopefully your dealer can sort out the issues for you. Parking brake is probably seized up from lack of use... a lot of people with automatics don't bother with it.
Up here though, you have to get a safety certification to register a vehicle, and a seized...
This is the one I bought:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-52557/
FLO-52557 - 2 1/2 in. Inlet/ 2 1/2 in. Outlet. One end centered the other offset.
It's been a long time but I recall it being a dealer item as well... my 05 came with it.
It is more of a pad as mentioned than a "handle", just a place to put your hand when you close the window without touching the glass, and I also figure it encourages you to use the center of the window...
I liked my Flowmaster 50 SUV. Unfortunately I wasn't keeping an eye on it and it fell off somewhere while my wife was driving it... the pipes before and after were pretty rusted obviously. Damn road salt. Just needed it fixed fast so we went back to a stock replacement.
I think the best way to hand-calculate would be to use a GPS for the distance then calculate that against the fuel pumped. Otherwise you are relying on the Jeep's computer for distance, which as mentioned can be offset by tire size, tire wear and probably even tire inflation. Still will have...
"Almost lifted"? Did you have the parts in the back seat? :D
Sorry couldn't resist!
Although I am unlifted I agree that 2 1/2-3" probably isn't much to worry about, but for those that might worry, go 3 inches up and 3 inches out and call it a day :)
