Can't say never, but my old Cherokee ran for years, had over 200,000 on it when I "upgraded" to the liberty, with pretty much NO trouble except bad crank position sensor once and 1 worn out water pump, and it got BETTER mileage than the Liberty! This is the first time in my life a vehicle has let me down like this. Bought this 02 Jeep in 06 with 76,000 mi. on it. Been running it daily since, and liked everything but the fuel economy. Budget Billet Grill

Balljoint recall notice yet?
Got the notice and had the work done already- Bought my 02 liberty July 26 2006 from a local dealer. Had an oxygen sensor go bad within the 3000 mi/60 day warantee and received the recall between the time I booked the service apointment and the date it was scheduled- called the dealer and asked...- blue gascon

It's an interesting design- but it seems they focused on making it look tough with styling that doesn't really enhance function. Personally, I find a lot of design errors in this vehicle, probably because I prize function over form. And I don't like the fact that they played the nostalgia card...- blue gascon

Cooper Discoverer ATR
I put a set of ATRs on my 94 Cherokee last year and was quite impressed with performance. I only put a few thousand miles on them, but found them to be great in normal driving conditions, including the few snow storms at the tail end of last winter.
