HOW TO: Change your front/rear diff oils

FWIW, O'Reiley sells a pump that fits both quart & gallon geal lube containers. it looks like a pump on a liquid soap bottle. It runs about $8, totally worth it!

    Time to collectively go insane!

How is the community supposed to go collectively insane when the information gets shoved to an obscure forum that no one looks at?

X2, I mean what good is four doors when it only has 2 seats?

    Time to collectively go insane!

Over the Jeep Lower Forty Concept. Because "Unless off-road enthusiasts collectively go insane over the Lower Forty, it won’t go into production." And this thing is about as cool as it gets! It's like a JK Rubicon mixed with a Samurai.

    NP 231 transfer case

I know the sensor tends to go bad, & people choose not to replace them & report no issues. I sold mine, so I can't even try it for you.

Infant Child Seat Size...parents experience needed!

middle is safest. It has nothing to do with weight or age, but distance from impact. I don't know of any requirements that the seat be in the middle. We had the Graco bucket type for the first 6 months, on the passenger side. Then the rear facing convertible for the next 6 months, then at 1...

    NP 231 transfer case

He may not have known about it. Why can't you sell or trade? Are you more than $3,500 upside down in the loan? Sell yours for about $8K, buy a 2003 KJ with 4wd for about $7K, then take the $2,500 you were going to use for this project, plus the $1000 from the KJ exchange & pay the difference...

Under the KJ, near the end of the transmission, on the driver's side. Possibly under some sound proofing material,

    NP 231 transfer case

I did that, & no programming was needed. 4 lo is the same in both t-cases.

    NP 231 transfer case

I didn't see you had a 2WD. My knowledge is from a t-case swap, rather than an afterthought installation. I was assuming that you were after the same. Having been through the KJ's front suspension more times than I ever wanted I can tell you that you are nuts. Not just from a money stand point...

    My KJ : Weightlifting Champ!

Well, after they were extremely angry that they got stuck because you didn't shovel! ;)

    NP 231 transfer case

Yes it's the position sensor. I don't know specifically where it leads, but all it accomplishes is turning on that light. Your computer system doesn't know or care. so yes it's all gearing & nothing electronic. What are you trying to accomplish?

    NP 231 transfer case

It has one electronic sender, but all it really does is turn on the "PART TIME" light on your dash. everything is mechanical.

Currently installing skid row tranny skid

No. Sorry, but I sold it yesterday. That was actually a photo of something else, & that piece just happened to be in it. IIRC, it should be easy to figure out, there are three holes for the bolts, the only variable is which way it bends.

    Welp, I'm done!

If it had been made with a SFA, I would have gladly kept it. It was a hard decision to sell, but that was the killer, & the time was right. It was a great SUV otherwise.

    Welp, I'm done!

Thanks! If I shop right, & get a good one, they're not that bad. I do expect it to be more needy than my KJ, which was largely trouble free.

Currently installing skid row tranny skid

Here you go. This is on the driver's side. It looks like it just uses the frame for support when getting bashed on the rocks. the other bolts more than hold in place & there is no hole in the frame for a bolt there, not on a 2003 anyway.

    Welp, I'm done!

Ah HA! No, can't afford a JK! I'd prefer an LJ, but those are out of my budget right now. I'm looking at XJs, ZJs, & Discovery Series I. No Toyotas! I might consider a Land Cruiser if they weren't so expensive for what they are... plus I don't like the idea of an electronic center diff lock. I...

No not kidding, but it's not what you think. I mean my next 4X4 will have a SFA... and possibly a frame too.
