FYI, I have the font to make anything in the Renegade style if you guys are looking for custom decals in that style. And, you're supporting a fellow jeeper.
Myself and a few other LOST members will be trail guides at Camp Jeep this year. Look for 5 KJs working as guides (We also have an XJ and TJ taggin along with our LOST posse too).
The suspension skid is what most people would call the engine skid and the engine skid is what most would call the transmission skid.
Does that clear it up?
Check with your stock jack - it's ususally attached to that. It looks like a little roll of electrical tape.
You only need it if you have an evic, otherwise check your tire pressure, including your spare.

Very fun place, stock or lifted!
The side rails will bend like a coat hanger the first time you use them for anything other than a step up. Rock Rails or Boulder Bars are the way to go.
Buy the tranny skid from '05-'06. You can retrofit it by bending up 2 tabs that you don't have slots for, and then drilling 2 holes north of the transfer case skid. A lot cheaper than an aftermarket skid.
Prior to '05, a tranny skid did not exist.
I had this problem on a prvious car and it turned out to be a problem with my lower intake manifod gasket. Coolant was leaking and burning off, and the fumes were entering my ventilation system.
They changed the front bumper for '05. The flares therefore not fit a previous year. An example is that if you buy an '05 ARB Bull Bar, you don't have to do any cutting. The rear flares just might still fit, but definitely not the front.
Sorry if I bursted your bubble. :-#
Quite a few of us from the LOST Midwest group will be in attendance for sure.
Here's our thread on it:

For all the functions to work, you need one from an 04+ KJ. The 04 GC ones only work on pre 04 KJs. Mankes life a lot more diffcult as the ones we need are a lot more rare.
I have a dark khaki, and I made mine in "Charcoal Metallic". It matches the painted renny rims almost perfectly.
I also made the black ones for Renegade363.
PM me if you'd like me to make you a set.
I replied to you over at LOST.
I make these, and can do any size you'd like. Please support a fellow KJer and order from me!
That goes for any of the rest of you who want any decal work done as well. Get ahold of me and I will take care of you better than those crooks over at...
In years prior to '05, renegades came with painted flares. There are no flares for the '05 with the bolt pattern that are paintable, but you could but the flares for a limited and forego the bolt patter in favor of paint.
