    Speaker Install

It's a combo amp/crossover. one on each side, drives the respective rear door, front door, and tweeter. I simply unscrewed the amp/crossover box, ran the wires to the new front speakers, got some self-adhesive velcro, and secured the amp inside the front door pocket. It sucks, because the rear...

    Window Regulator

 Well, i guess it's time to put number 3 in my passenger rear window. Wife walked out to the jeep this morning and said, "Honey, the window is broken again!" Great. Just f'ing great. I had that same one fail in August 07, Jun 08, and now May 09. I don't even use that window...

    Z max

i knew it would run upside down, but OUTER SPACE !?!?@#!%$ I'm going to buy some right now! :D Wait... does outer space include the moon? I hear they have some wicked sand dunes.

Brake issues mainly in the rain???

The grabbing brakes sounds like the pads grinding off a little bit of surface rust after the rain. Pretty normal. I bet if you look at your rotors in the morning after a rain storm you'll see light rust on the normally polished surface of the rotor. Drive it and get out and I'm willing to bet...

BRAND NEW MOPAR LIGHTBAR 200 on eBay!

Actually, if you wanted to be picky, the CV-22 is glued together. Literally. The plane is 80% carbon and carbon fiber composites. :D (but yes, it's still got lots of screws/bolts/rivets ) I think the only way i would trust that lightbar with sticky tape is if it was VHB tape by 3M...

    New Front Recovery!

I would actually double gusset both sides of each tab (ie. top, bottom, left, and right on each). Especially considering you'll never know what kind of lateral stresses they'll encounter when your in a sticky situation. But then again, i have a tendency to overbuild things. :D

What type of paint to use?

Krylon Fusion, which is specifically designed for plastic, holds up very well. Painted the very faded plastics on a friends '94 BMW like 4 years ago and it still looks awesome. No cracking, chipping, or fading for that matter. And no, he doesn't wash or take care of it either. And remember...

    Cracked 22mpg combined

Some of the dumbest people i've ever met are engineers. (no offense jeepster) :) I also think it's funny that a "Tire Engineer" doesn't know the difference between an implosion and an explosion in a tire. I've seen photos and videos of the aftermath of several exploded tires. (blarg)...

Rear End Collisions Fires-Any stronger bumpers?

I concur. A steel bumper isn't going to help you if you get rear-ended at 100mph. All that will add up to is 200-400 lbs of steel flying forward. It may help avoid damage to your vehicle in a slow speed impact (and on the trail of course!), but you can't worry about everything all the...

Anyone ever used a Titan Air Jack?

The air bags i've dealt with work pretty well. As long as they're well constructed/decent quality they should help get you out of a sticky situation where a normal jack won't work. I used the ARB one with a friend a while back to get him out of some sand and it worked pretty well. My...

    Window Regulator - Broke again

Yeah, it's not entirely unusual in the libby it seems. I've replaced the right rear twice. Once in Aug of 07 and again in Jun of 08. It's not a terribly difficult fix if your somewhat mechanically inclined. I think the hardest part is wrestling the glass back into the track. Other than that it's...

Rubber creaking, esp in the cold, is usually the swaybar bushings.

    Fuel filter change

So you just dropped the whole tank out instead of going in through the hatch in the cargo floor? I'm debating how I want to get to mine, since i've only got skid plate to worry about. Hrrrm.

    Finally...

I see what your saying, the spring looks like it came off the plate and the bump stop is pulling out the top I could just be crazy though.

    LCA bushings

It's all about the proper application of force. It's way easier to press bushings that melt em and such. we've got a 20 ton hydraulic press at work with all kinds of adapters for the various bushings, bearings and other stuff we use. Convenient that those adapters fit auto parts.

    My Jeep goes Clunk

When my upper ball joint went out it made a clunk that you could feel in your feet. When you find the "how to check your balljoints thread" follow the procedure, and while your lifting up on your tire, look at your UBJ as well as your LBJ.

    2004 Jeep Liberty Renegade

Autozone, checkers, pretty much any auto parts store can help you out. Most do it for free. And everwhere I look on the internet shows: P0185 Fuel Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit. Definately not an O2 sensor. Perhaps you mean: P0158 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2. That's...

    2004 Jeep Liberty Renegade

the 3.7l has 4. One before and one after the cat on each side. Why would you replace all four? The error code should tell you which sensor is bad.
