    Lift is done!!

I like the look of the wheels you have on yours. I do have a set 2006 Moabs that I may swap them out with. Since mine is the Columbia edition I have the graphite bumpers and wheels originally. I am thinking about having the Moab Rims, ARB bumper and rock sliders I am building all powder coated...

    Lift is done!!

Yup, I found the same thing. Took me two years to track down the parts for the front as they are Dana only. Last time I checked Yukon wanted close to $900 for a set as well, almost three times any other gear set.

    Lift is done!!

Once in awhile you can find the fronts under this Yukon part #, YG D30HD-410L. That is how I found mine from Overstock Differentials. Yukon still list as a valid part number on their website and shows backorder options available but you should call and ask before ordering.

    ASFIR 4x4 skid plates

Based on spacing needed the brackets drop down inside the rails of the hitch so would be pretty tough to mount outside. I do not think there is any issue with hitch strength being compromised as this will basically act as a solid spacer between hitch rail and frame rail. The bracket is...

    ASFIR 4x4 skid plates

Just to let everyone know, these will work on 3.7L gasser. For the gas tank skid, if you have a hitch you need to remove and mount brackets between hitch and frame. Not a big deal. Front is direct bolt on, no modifications needed. For the transfer case/transmission skid, it fits without issue...

    Lift is done!!

Rears for the 8.25 were simple and I got Yukon ring and pinion off Amazon. Front was much harder. Finally found a new Dana set on Ebay and they were a pretty penny. Originally I had sourced a 2.4L and purchased the whole carrier and front end. Guess the seller needed the parts and my money more...

    Lift is done!!

Appreciate all the help and guidance of the forum. List is installed. OME all the way around, ARB UCA, Iron Rock UCA/LCA on rear. Double stacked idolaters on rear, top boiler plate and 3 conduit nuts for clevis on front. Also put DTT front and rear and swapped to 4.10 gears while I was at it...

    Front Differential Bushing Replacement??

Thank you both. I was able to get them this morning with my 20 ton press. Even with that they were super stubborn. I ended up putting pressure on them and then some heat on the outside and then the freed right up. Just needed a new day and new perspective. It’s all assembled and going back in today!

    Front Differential Bushing Replacement??

Thank you. I am going back at it this morning with a new approach and new found patience

    Front Differential Bushing Replacement??

I am ready to put my differential back in after doing the 4.10 regear and DTT upgrade. I have the Creative Steel bushings that I want to replace as well. I really did not think this would be the toughest part of the job but I cannot for the life of me get the old bushings to come out. I can’t...

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

Thank you. That was my thought as well. I know on when I was looking at specs on my wrangler Dana 30 the preload for new bearings was 20-40 in/lbs. I realize this is a different beast but figured I would be fine. Appreciate the response.

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

Reassembled tonight and crush sleeve although tough was not 500 ft/lbs tough as mentioned. It took a lot of force to start the crush and then moved fast. I set the rear at 20 in/lbs and was shooting for that on the front as well. It went from 15 to 25 in one jump. This is right at the top end of...

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

Thank you. I plan to do the same. Seemed pretty high to me as well.

    ASFIR 4x4 skid plates

I will definitely report back. Will be a couple of weeks. They arrived last week. Looking at them I do not see any concerns with the gas tank or probably front differential skid. The transmission/transfer case skid is all one piece and pretty long so that is the one that may be an issue but...

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

Sorry, did not mean it felt weak. Just meant it did not look like it would take double the torque to crush as the one in the rear 8.25 axle. Appreciate your help and info. I have an eliminator kit for my 2008 JK with a Dana 30 in it that I have not installed yet. I will have to check and see if...

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

Thank you. I planned to do just as you shared. My manual is a 2003 and there is a lot of discrepancies in it for torque on a lot of things. It will show one torque spec in the summary at the first of the chapter and then say something completely different in the steps in the chapter. It is a FSM...

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

Getting ready to do final assembly on the front differential with 4.10s and DTT. When I look at the manual it states to torque pinion nut to 160 ft/lbs. that makes sense based on the 210 I started with in the rear and finished at 250. But then two steps later it states to torque to 500 ft/lbs to...
