I am in the UK and have a 2005 CRD. I had seen the empty place for a DRL relay and wondered if I put the relay in would I get DRLs. It sounds like I won't without computer updates then. Would I need Canada selected when I have a UK Liberty, also where can I get the DRL relay from? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I should have said it is a 2004 2.8 CRD. The console is quite different to that, although maybe it comes out the same way.

Hi. How do i get to the two bulbs for the map reading lights in the centre roof console. 2004 2.8 CRD UK. I took the ***** out, slid the whole thing forward towards wind screen a little bit and tried to pull the unit down but it was not coming out. Is there not an easier way to get to these...

No need to reply, I have found the answer. Renault 5 thermostat.

Thermostat not coolant.. Thermostat is housed in a unit and you have to replace the whole part which is expensive. I did the hack years ago and it worked great, just can't remember what part it was. Pretty sure it was Renault 19 stat though.

I remember seeing somewhere a long time ago a hack for fixing a faulty thermostat sensor without having to to buy the whole unit that contains the thermostat. It was something like getting a sensor for an old Renault 19 or something and just putting it in one of the hoses. Anyone know this hack...
