Found this in my search. I am wondering how you hook up the controls for the Winch. Any comments https://jeepmania.eu/en/winch-mount-plates/9669-winch-mount-plate-2002-2008-jeep-liberty-cherokee-kj.html
I have the same thoughts but what is it we are looking to measure? With what Morgan has said on the unibody and mounting holes being the same but that's about it. I am not sure what needs measured. When I line up the two in the composites on my GIMP and fade them in and out the only thing i see...
Hi Everyone; Here is what Morgan at ATH said
Thank you for your interest and reaching out. I have not tried installing a KK winch bumper on a KJ unfortunately. The unibody/frame is the same with the mounting holes but that is about where it ends. The bumper fits on a KK with very little...
I found the KJ on this site and the KK is from the ATH install; I blended them by trying to line up bumpers, specially lining up the channels that are used by ARB. The ATH KK lines up close to the KJ.
Thank you very much. Grabed this screen shot(From a Git It Garage video.), best I could find but then found a link here on this site with a good picture of the KJ.

I did talk to these guys(https://www.bluelakeoffroad.com) they need an 05 for 8 weeks to design one but are willing to do it. So if someone can drop off their KJ for two months they will roll one out for us. I would but I live in North Idaho.
I will hit the internet and update you all as I go...
Thanks for the link Howard. So basically this KK bumper will bolt right onto my KJ. I understand you have to cut the fenders but overall not that much modification or am I missing something? I am ok with the seven month lead time from ATH(actually like the look better than the ARB) but I want to...
Hey Tom in my pursuit of a bumper, do you think these would bolt up correctly so as not have the bumper rip off. Per your other comments on modifying a JK bumper. What Modifications do you think they would need to make them work. I am open to any possibilty and I am more than willing to pay for...
I actually bought an ARB thruogh a shop but the shop mis ordered the year. Now ARB will not commit to a real date for an 05 and they said they may not make anymore of them. I am to check back in March for an update. So given I do want to build this CRD with a bumper and Winch I am really...
They replied back that they bolted the angle iron to the unibody. I am figuring since I have a few months and my son is working on his welding certs. I will come up with a workable solution that looks good. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
I was down at a 4 x 4 shop today measuring they are saying to look at the short JKs as the the mounts are wider. I have the question on how to secure for using a winch to these very helpful gentleman.
Thanks for the reply. I think I have it covered, enjoy your vacation. I rough measured(about 35") from underneath. I think am going to open those holes, use pintle hitches since they the plates on them and bolt them in; then I will bolt a JK bumper on; Might have to make an adapter if...
I am in the process of building an 05 CRD. Bumpers are an issue finding but I was thinking of modifying one. I have seen where others on Youtube are putting two inch tube in Unibody tubing. I can not
I am looking at modifying a bumper. Do you remember the distance between the tubes you...
Hey duder
My liberty build is coming along well. Did the timing belt, water pump and now just got the new turbo charger from Sasquatch(install kit also and the silicone elbow), new glow plugss and module. Will get that all installed in a couple of weeks. Plus I have a full OME 1.5 lift kit...
