I have a 2006 with no sunroof and mine leaks on the passenger side after really hard rains. I dug into the door trim and discovered quite a bit of grime had made it under the rubber seal between the rubber and metal. It would come down the puller and into the dash around the glove compartment...
You’re right incandescent. My right tail light is the one that melted a little but I was able to trim some plastic and bend the tabs to keep them working. I’ve got 228,000 miles so I’m just trying to keep things working. If something is broken, I’ll replace but if I can keep it working without...
Agreed but not sure why the bulbs are so hot besides the fact they are halogen. My sockets are all burnt and one even melted but adjusting the contacts has kept them working so far.
Yep, sure did. I thought it was my wiring harness and wanted to see the wires. After testing continuity, I realized it wasn’t the wire. Because it was only one light, I never thought about a fuse being bad.
That is correct. That is the wire I identified while testing. Well, last night when I was checking my fuses and looking at the identification on the fuse panel I mistakenly mirrored the schematic with the actual fuses. The 7 fuse is definitely blown. Probably happened while I was troubleshooting...
Thanks I’m going to spend the morning doing some more troubleshooting and work my why through everything again. I’ll get back on when post what I find. Thanks for the help.
Good evening,
My 2006 Jeep Liberty just recently had the drivers side tail light stop working. All other lights work on the driver and passenger side. I pulled the entire rear light harness that sits behind the bumper. It appears I have continuity through everything and that the problem may be...
You nailed it. I had continuity at the resistor, voltage at the fan flug. Then I pulled the fan and manually tried to run it off the battery and it worked. I plugged it back into the plug while holding it and it ran only when holding it with the fan down but when I turned it over like it would...
Recently, when I would start my 2006 Jeep Liberty, the A/C blower fan would not work. After a few minutes, I could move the speed switch and it would start working. Another time I had to change the modes before it would start working. I decided to change the resistor and haven't been able to get...
I have an '06 and I have used mine to pull my neighbor's Chevy Silverado out the ditch between our yards using tow hitch. I used finesse and had him lightly throttle his truck while I pulled to take the strain off my vehicle. I also pulled an Uber driver out of the other neighbors yard after...
I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty with stock suspension with the Discoverer at/3 in size 235/75R16. I didn’t really need off-road tires but wanted a little less grocery-getter look. I got the tires in 2018 and currently have 31,000 miles on them. I’m guessing around 40k I’ll need to replace. They are...
I just rebuilt my a/c in my 2006 and it won't produce less than 50 degrees at the vent on low and a little higher with the blower at high. Also, if you run max a/c and it seems weak, take your glove box out and make sure the intake isn't clogged. Mine was caked over with dust that needed to be...
