Put a bead of silicone around the door boot where the wires feed through for the door. That's where my leak was and it looks just like your photo, it fixed mine for over a year.

I had the same leak and it ended up being the seal between the door and the frame....I used silicone and no more problems.

I'm not very worried about the time factor, I don't see it taking me more than a few hours. The new projectors require far less cutting as well which is a major plus. My biggest problem is the left to right adjustment, I was hoping someone out there made one but I guess they don't :/
