When I did this, I had to remove at least one of the motor mounts. I might have even removed both of them. It was a while ago. I remember it being a hassle. Swear words were involved.....
Good Luck!
Here is my rebuild. There are a few pictures of the chains. You can separate the outer sprocket from the assembly. You also need to be sure to time the balance shaft to the gear assembly.

Yes, it is still looking good and going down the road. I commute 70 miles round trip each day in the ole girl. It has gone 40,000 miles since the rebuild. :)
The belt thing... I changed the tensioner assembly on mine earlier this week for that problem. Mine was pretty noisy. That fixed it.
Have you put gauges on it to see what the discharge and suction pressures are? That would be a good place to start if you have the clutch cycling abnormally.
Does the engine turn over so you can remove the torque converter bolts? Take the intake off to get better access to the transmission to engine bolts.
Which head do you need? I have one for you. I have to check which side it's off.
Here is my adventure...
Have you checked to be sure both speeds are working on your electric fan? Mine had no low speed because the low speed brushes worn out. It had similar issues.
The fan is speed is controlled by the discharge pressure sensor. I would only get high speed after the discharged pressure reached a...
In my view that's pretty unlikely when you look at the two that are ripped to shreds on the box top.... the cap and the nuts don't have even a hint of corrosion on them.....
But hell..... people often look at things differently than I do .....
I regularly rotate the tires on my 2004 that has over 210,000 miles on it. It still has the original lug nuts on it. I always use an air impact gun to remove them and tighten them to 100 ft-lbs when installing them.
These were ruined by not using a socket that engages the entire nut.
It is...
The compressor will have a loud rattle coming from the back of the compressor, especially after it first starts, if the system is overcharged with refrigerant.
It's caused by liquid refrigerant making its way to the compressor..
You need to add oil for each of the components that you replace to replace the oil that is in each component. The service manual will give the amount that you need add.
Accumulator- 3oz
Condenser - 0.75oz
If you decide to change the compressor, It can be a little tricky because they sometimes...
I have an '04 3.7 sport with the all electric radiator fan. Since I bought it a year ago, the AC performance has be ok but not great and occasionally I would get a transmission over temperature trouble code.
I discovered that the low-speed on the radiator fan was not working. The high speed...
If you are seeing 80 psi low side and 90 high, the compressor is not pumping refrigerant. If the clutch is engaged and the belt is turning, there is an internal problem with the compressor. Possibly a valve that has failed and is intermittently sealing.
.... and beacuse I didnt understand, you should now troubleshoot and repair it for free.... at least that is what a "reputable" shop that cares about its "reputation" would do....
Man up! When you make a decision OWN IT!
You wont be able to reset the tensioners . They are spring-loaded and have a ratchet that wont let them retract once they have extended.
That could be the deal breaker for not removing the cover. I dont know if you will be able to keep it from extending once you remove the sprocket from the...
Are you noticing any oil consumption? This is the differential. The oil filter is located over the top of it. If care isn't taken when changing the oil filter, oil can easily be spilled onto the differential. That may be the cause of the mess.
