It's been over a week, but I finally got my recall (trailer hitch) issue completed!

A couple of weeks ago I had the same issue. I figured the cold snap we received was testing my battery. I replaced it, however it turned out to be the voltage regulator inside of the alternator. I now have a brand new battery and a brand new alternator. eventually you may have to replace both.

I had a similar issue last week in my 03. The light came on with a chime, and then I changed the battery out. 20 miles later, the light returned with the chime. Then next morning I changed out my alternator and all has been well. Chances are, the voltage regulator in the alternator is going...
