Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

UPDATE: Just finished flushing the heater core. Using a garden hose at low pressure at first, flow was easy and immediate. Had a few small chunks of what looked like brown pocket lint come out right away, then nothing but clear water. Left hose connected and flushed for about 10 minutes in...

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

So here is where I am at: Replaced the thermostat yesterday, however the old one tested fine. Let it run with the bleeder cracked for about an hour. At this time, the top and bottom radiator hoses were hot, but the hoses going to the heater core were warm at best. No detectable heat in the...

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

Should the bleeder bolt be removed completely or just loosened for bleeding?

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

I really appreciate the guidance thus far. Its been run daily a minimum of 20 miles each direction, and several times on longer trips over 100 miles each direction during this time. The temp gauge has never gone higher than midpoint. To swap out the t-stat, do I need to do a complete...

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

My initial thoughts as well - but wouldn't either of these cause an overheating issue?

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

Ok, not sure what I am missing here. I seemed to make a tiny bit of headway yesterday but not enough to justify the amount of time spent. I topped off the radiator and let it idle for about 30 minutes with the cap off and the bleed screw partially backed out. level in radiator did not go down...

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

I assume the radiator was filled, as there was coolant under the cap. I left it idle for awhile with the cap off, and now the bottom hose is hot to the touch, as are the heater core hoses. Heat is running consistently luke-warm.

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

Update... After playing around with it running while the radiator cap was off, I took it for a ride. During the ride, I turned the heat on, and it blew fairly hot for abut 30 seconds then went cold. After turning the heat off for a while and turning it back on it did the same thing. When I...

Cold bottom radiator hose - where to start?

Wife brought to my attention that her 08 KK has no heat. Checked blend door actuator, was fine. Started checking hoses - at normal running temperature: 1. top radiator hose is hot 2. bottom radiator hose is cold 3. hoses running to heater core are warm 4. radiator cap is cold, and can be...

    Hood Prop Rod

Hi - Hoping someone here can help me out. Popped the hood on my '08 yesterday, and when I went to stand up the prop rod, it came right off in my hand. Now, for the life of me, I cannot find where the bottom end of the rod is supposed to be attached. Google images were no help. I was...

    Reverse lights blowing fuse

I have a multimeter - unfortunately I do not have the skills to use it. Mechanically, I can do pretty much whatever is needed but I'm about as qualified to do automotive electrical work as I am to do brain surgery. I'm really hoping for a very obvious problem. Thank you.

    Reverse lights blowing fuse

The fuse is correct 10-amp mine blade fuse. I've gone up as high as 30-amp, just to see if it made a difference, and it fries those just as quick.

    Reverse lights blowing fuse

My '04 Liberty, manual transmission, blows the reverse lights/turn signal fuse whenever the vehicle is shifted into reverse. It doesn't matter if the vehicle is running or not, so long as the ignition is on. I haven't had a chance to start tearing into stuff looking for a cause yet, but...
