The jobs are not at stake if the wrangler leaves they will get the new wagoneer. As a chrysler employee myself, it hurts all employees to waste profits just to keep a vehicle at any plant. They are not set up for aluminum or unibody. And yes there are lots of rumors about the wrangler going...
It really was not hard at all. One mistake i feel i made was to attach the tri link to the diff first.
Im not going to get into quality argument. Working for chrysler i have seen plently of questionable "dealer or oem" parts.

I just replaced mine with the one from mevotech. The ball joint was tight not loose like a few reviews i read. It matched up well. It did not look any less than what it was replacing.

After a long cold night watch the tail pipe when someone else starts it. I get the lightest puff of smoke on start up and that is it but it's enough to use a quart between oil changes

The striker is not considered an attachment point. It's not even supposed to have drag when you shut the door. These three attachment points are "soft" points. The striker mount is a spring nut, so it can be adjustable to the door, with a single weld. They serve a purpose and that's about it...
I work in a jeep factory. The doors don't add anything for structure. We bend doors to get the right fit. A good slam can change their shape

I also have never heard monroe dissed as stock replacement. Some of us are not looking to half ass it but also are not looking for a lift. What parts do you suggest then? Assuming someone is half assing it because they dont want a lift but do want replacement parts is a little short sided, imo...
Thanks. I do have an auto trans. I dont do much off road. The full time 4x4 is easier than explaining to the wife you cant leave it in 4hi till spring lol

Talked to my dealer today to see if any of the recalls had been done on my jeep... No they have not. Some how the only recall it fits is the air bag recall... Odd its not one that fits into the ball joint recalls

New to the forum. My wife and i just bought a new to us liberty.
We love the early renegade look. Its black with around 100000 miles on it. As far as we can tell mostly stock and very little rust. We hope to have alot of fun in it.
