I have metal ramps and I like them for oil/ tranny fluid changes. I have a working e-brake (02 with drum brakes, so the e-brake is bigger), and I also chock one tire, just in case.
Without seeing it, I would guess it is the oil pressure sensor. The sensor is just above the oil filter. I would also check your vavle cover gaskets, and your power steering hoses since they are also known to leak and show oil in the same area.
X2 and mine has been on for over 160k miles. There seems to be a lot of people with 04-06 KJs with a lot of spring sag and the budget boost kills their springs. It might just be because mine is a per-lowered KJ that my springs have held up. I have a 1/2" of sag with springs that are 11 yrs...
I have the Dynomax set up. Easy to install, sounds good outside the Jeep, and quiet enough that I don't hear it over the wind noise when inside the Jeep.
I have run Solid covers on my YJ for a few years now, and they can take a good hit. Good deal for $65.

The seats are pretty easy to pull out, just need to find all the bolts for the back seat. Pull the carpet back that touches the rear seat and find a few, pull the four out that hold the front seat bottoms to the floor and flip the back seat up to get the the seat belts and remaining bolts. I...
How much $$ are you willing to drop into a 10 year old Jeep? I would think a moderate expense would be to find a used 3.7, have it rebuilt and same with the transmission. Do you have the 45rfe or 42rle transmission? In 03 they switched. If you want more power, get a chip, exhaust and intake...
Bought our 02 Renegade new off the lot and 11 years and 212K miles later we still love it. For the $ it would be hard to find a vehicle that has treated us this well.
At highway speeds (65-70 mph) and about 2100-2200 rpm, the torque converter feels like it momentarily will unlock and then lock. It happens fast, no change in rpm noticed on the tach. It typically happens on a long gradual up hill. Only happens once or twice a day on my 130 mile daily...
I have an old stock rim from an XJ that has the larger center cap. I put it on with a few lug nuts and then lower the Jeep back to the ground and break the axle nut loose.
I got a new switch online for somewhere around $60, so it is not a cheap part. It also takes a 1 1/2 " socket to replace it. I have read about how some have replaced it from going under the Jeep but I went through the work of pulling the consoled out and replacing it from the top. The whole...
I just finished replacing the valve covers about 2 weeks ago. I lost about a pint of coolant during the job. If you are careful when pulling the coolant over flow you won't loose much. I did need to remove the heater hoses completely, just disconnected them from the firewall and slide them...
