longest lasting OEM battery
Wow. How long has your battery lasted? I just got 178K on original battery in my '04 bought in fall of '03. I believe that makes it 9 yrs 6 months. Now replaced with a John Deere battery which happened to be the place where the OEM died. Yup, I live in a farming community.- lvmylibby

ball-joint recall repairs...beware!!!
Got my recall repair done on my kj this week. Being the techy guy that I am I decided to crawl underneath to check out the new ball joints when I got home. manual tranny - weak clutch?
I have an '04 KJ with a manual tranny, 3.7l engine. It's my first Jeep. Ever since new it behaves like it has a weak clutch. By this I mean it lags or bounces when you accelerate.
