You do know that taking a second off the Liberty's 0-60 would take about a 35 hp increase don't you? $200-$300, sorry, try $2000-$3000. :smokin:
What I ran into when testing the stage 1 is it would richen up the fuel mix and increase the timing. Below about 3000 RPM, it would give a slight...
Just remember, if you're running a jet stage 1, don't do with and without dyno runs or quarter mile runs. Only go by seat of the pants. I've never tested the stage 2, but have heard that it does make a small positive difference instead of the negative difference the stage 1 made when I tested it.
Depends on how much $ you want to spend. Definitely do the gears and get the B&G flash. A good drop in air filter is all you need for the intake, but you can go with a throttle body from FastMan to help response a little. Since you have the 42RLE, you can talk to APS and get an upgraded torque...
If you're looking for more power and plan to off road, you really should be looking at gears. If you go to 245/75R16's, some 4.10's will make a world of difference. If you go bigger, you may want to look at the JBA steel front diff with some 4.56's or even taller gears. You'll lose some top end...
Kind of funny. You're talking about me.
If you want programming that actually works for the 3.7, talk to B&G. Otherwise, don't waste your time and money. Oh, and no programming will make anywhere near a 60 HP difference on the 3.7.
They list their chip as being for the 2002-2011 even though there are completely different ECU's within those years. They also list an extra 60 hp and 60 torque, combined with better fuel milage.:happy175:
IT WILL NOT WORK!!!
I just have to give some praise to my Silent Armors that are starting out their 4th winter. In just FT4WD, the Jeep easily climbs my steep driveway while covered in a solid sheet of wet ice. I can only get across the driveway by hanging onto the brushguard. My neighbor just saw me drive up it...
I had the factory trashlock until it broke and damaged my pinion bearing. I went with a DTT and couldn't be happier. I would have upgraded to it immediately if I had known the difference.
As for a response to the actual first post, stay with the 3.73's unless you're going with at least a little bigger tires than stock in the future. If you can afford it, a DTT is a much better option than the factory LSD. It also doesn't cost that much more than a trash lock considering the cost...
You would go to a Line-X dealer in your area. I can recommend a place here in central KY that has incredibly good service, but in Florida, I don't know.
They give the KJ a much nicer stance than the stock rims, since they are Jeep rims they look right at home on the KJ, and you can pick them up for really low prices from people that went bigger on their Rubicons.
Mine will be for sale this fall when I get the ARB bumper installed. It's a Westin with Line-X Xtra with UV protection. Only been used once when I hit a piece of particle board furniture on the highway. There's not a scratch on it though. Sorry, but I'll be keeping the lights.
I had never seen one on the road when I bought mine. It was about a week before I saw another one that wasn't at the dealership. Now they're everywhere.
