    Extra Lighting and BCM Burnout

Bennet, I like your install. But you are only using one light. I'll be putting two in. That might make a difference. I'm going to take some current draw measurements using an N-P-N transistor to boost the current. I'll measure before and after. I'll post results. It'll be a couple days, as...

    Extra Lighting and BCM Burnout

I've read that extra lighting added to the existing interior lighting can burn out the BCM. I assume that this is due to the BCM controlling the lighting for the "dim to off" feature, auto shut off if left on, etc. I would like to add the stock light pod that I removed when I added my EVIC to...

The Front Seats are Killing Me...!

I've noticed that the leg positioning and the gas pedal has given me aches. I've had to slide the seat back a bit more than I'd like to get my leg into a comfortable position. I'm 5'10" or so. I think it would have a lot to do with whether you have power seats or not. Mine aren't. Power ones...

    EVIC on the way

Got the EVIC in and it's installed. VERY easy to do. Great mod. Thanks to all the guys on here for the photos and diagrams. I didn't really understand what people were talking about when they said to pop the lights out, I thought they meant the whole lens and all. Once I got in there and saw it...

    Stealth Sub Install Project

Thanks for the offer, but I need to pull the seats to create a mock-up box (out of cardboard) and fit that into the base. This will allow me to get precise measurements and calculate the maxiumum airspace I can get out of there. It's awful tight under there. I have to keep the box below the...

    Stealth Sub Install Project

Ok guys, I don't know if anyone has tried this, but I'm going to try to install an 8" or 10" Solobaric (square) sub under the front seats. I realize that there is a 6.5" available, but that isn't enough. I've taken some preliminary measurements and I think I can get the 0.66 cu ft required for...

    EVIC on the way

Wiring I plan on using speaker wire. I'll put a piece of tape on both ends of one set. This will allow me to tell all 4 wires apart from the ends, even after I wrap it all. I also thought about using Cat-5 cable. That would give me a few extra wires later, but I was concerned about the gauge of...

    Warranty Questions...

I bought a used Jeep that has factory warranty left on it. BUT, I don't have any maintenance records. Are they supposed to honor the warranty without them? I want to ask here before I go to the dealer, they've been known to be less than honest at times. :-$

    EVIC on the way

For anyone who hasn't done the EVIC mod, they are pretty cheap on Ebay now. I just got one for $45 delivered. It was an EVIC (Not OTIS) with the pigtail, Temp Sensor, Homelink, and Sunroof switch. While I don't have a sunroof, an extra factory siwitch can ALWAYS come in handy... Hmmmm.. Now...

    Front LSD and Lockers? Possible?

I already have Bridgestone Dueler A/T's (not sure if they are Revos). I'll look. I suppose I'll be better off sticking with the command track then. Thanks, I'll read up on my best Mud Traction options with my current setup. Resuc2000

    Front LSD and Lockers? Possible?

Ok. Thanks for setting me straight on that guys. has anyone done a select trac swap? I can get the Transfer Case from a junkyard for $500 or less. This would give me the Full Time 4WD I want. I can then add lockers for mud, which we have plenty of around here. Thanks Rescu2000

    Front LSD and Lockers? Possible?

Is that all I'd have to change out? Wouldn't I need to add some more components? The reason I thought the LSD might work is I thought it might eliminate axle binding. BUT, I think I would just need a rear differential in the front for that. (Assuming that is even possible). Rescu2000

    Better Gas Milage???

Hmm. The mix ratio seems kinda implausible. But then again, we put an additive in water to make foam and we mix it at 0.5% and it could go lower if the manufacturers refine it further. It does the same thing, only for water. It reduces surface tension and allows it to soak into charred wood. So...

    Front LSD and Lockers? Possible?

Ok, I'm really new to the 4X4 scene. I'm not mechanically challenged. I can tear down and repair an engine, but I've no experience or knowledge of differentials, lockers, etc. With that being said, Here's my question: Is it possible to put a LSD in the front of my KJ and turn my Part-time 4wd...

    MAG Light mounting

I checked the local Lowes AND Home Depot. No dice. I'll just order them from ebay or something. One location I noticed is the rear window. The pillar in the front part of the rear window is perfect. I think I'll put two black (4 cell I think) Mags. One on each window. I usually have to open the...

    My BBS Rims

Ok, that explains why there is no Engine Skidplate. I noticed that it was gone, but thought it might have been removed by the previous owner. I was planning on adding a beefier one anyway, so it didn't bother me too much. I looked at some photos after you pointed out that it wasn't a Renny...

    My BBS Rims

So, why do you say it's not a Renny? Do they have special badging or something? How can I tell the difference? I'm a noob to the Liberties. Rescu2000

    Adjust Lightbar lights?

I have a 2003 also. Mine seem to point high too. I've not looked for an adjustment, but it may just be the way that they are supposed to be aimed. If there is and adjustment, I'll find out soon, because I will be taking the bar apart to mount some of my emergency lighting. I'll let you know if...

    My 2003 Renny

Thanks. In case you are wondering, that silver thing between the vents is my wireless GPS Antannae (Bluetooth). It talks to my pocket PC or laptop For navigation (w/ voice eavan) ... I love it. Cheaper than a RB1 and mobile, just not as clean of an install. The CAR PC should fix that Rescu2000
