What did you do to your jeep today?
I only have one. Plus my one key doesn't fit the door lock. I suppose the only way to remedy that is to open the door. I'm wondering if a local locksmith who does cars and programs keys would be able to cut one from a scratch pattern put into the lock. I see Strattec has the pin kit. If...- David13

Drove to work. 22 miles each way, but open country miles. Only one stop light along the way. I'm beginning to like this Jeep. It hasn't let me down yet. Starts every time. dc- David13

OH, not cheap. But I will pay that for the dependability. But first I got to check for parasitic draw. Seems like I have quite a bit, but that may just be all the crazy options I have. And then check for the state of the battery that I have. Thanks dc- David13

I have been referring to Haynes, and Chilton's and also Clymer's for more than 50 years, and have found them right on the money on just about everything. Maybe once or twice not quite right. But very helpful for some mysteries. And too skimpy for everything. But definitely worth the money...- David13

Got gas and checked the mileage. 21 mpg I get for this fill up. That's looking more encouraging. I did try to start it today and got dash lights, but no start. Yes, it is a lot more reasonable conclusion to come to, that I don't have a cabin air filter, rather than that it is further over toward the center of the Jeep. I will look for the scales and weigh mine. A lot of the miles per gallon depends on the engine. And if it is the same 3.7 liter V6 they will both use a fairly similar amount of gas. Went to two junkyards. Asked for a spare tire for the Jeep at one. No. Got Honda parts so I can drive the Honda to work at 40 mpg, rather than the KK at what, 16 mpg? I filled the tank, and then when I fill it again I will calculate the mileage. That's the only way to do it. Keep a...- David13
