What did you do to your jeep today?

I only have one. Plus my one key doesn't fit the door lock. I suppose the only way to remedy that is to open the door. I'm wondering if a local locksmith who does cars and programs keys would be able to cut one from a scratch pattern put into the lock. I see Strattec has the pin kit. If...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Can I get a link to the info about the key. I need to get one, and then see where or how I can program it. Thanks dc

What did you do to your jeep today?

Drove to work. 22 miles each way, but open country miles. Only one stop light along the way. I'm beginning to like this Jeep. It hasn't let me down yet. Starts every time. dc

What did you do to your jeep today?

OH, not cheap. But I will pay that for the dependability. But first I got to check for parasitic draw. Seems like I have quite a bit, but that may just be all the crazy options I have. And then check for the state of the battery that I have. Thanks dc

What did you do to your jeep today?

I have been referring to Haynes, and Chilton's and also Clymer's for more than 50 years, and have found them right on the money on just about everything. Maybe once or twice not quite right. But very helpful for some mysteries. And too skimpy for everything. But definitely worth the money...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Got gas and checked the mileage. 21 mpg I get for this fill up. That's looking more encouraging. I did try to start it today and got dash lights, but no start. I had this a few times and just shut it off and redid it, and it started. I'm not sure if it's too low voltage, or a glitch in the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yes, it is a lot more reasonable conclusion to come to, that I don't have a cabin air filter, rather than that it is further over toward the center of the Jeep. But, air flows all around down there and comes out all over the dash, so ... That is quite a write up on LostJeeps. Probably more...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I have them from Mopar. And, I have gone behind the glove box, and spent a long time looking at and fiddling with any and everything back there, and found no door. After some searching on the internet and reading some books, Haynes, Chilton's, I was made aware that some of them are behind the...

    Rear Fender Flare Removal?

Yes, Amazon. Let me find a link. Just search internet for "Jeep Liberty push pins". And you will see 20 or more sellers. Maybe call them other names than push pins, and see what you get. Snap tabs, trim fasteners, I don't know what all they call them. You can search online for LIsle...

What did you do to your jeep today?

KKs supposedly have them. But they are not behind the glove box like the books say. They are behind the radio or something, which I have yet to discover how to get in there to change them without tearing the dash apart. Maybe they are different on different models. Got the cross member...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Spinners. Yeah, I remember someone telling me they were essential. I told him I would never have one of those on my car. I never did. I started out with cars in the mid 60s. One of the newest I had was a 63' T Bird. I don't remember what gas mileage it got. But I'm sure it wasn't much...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I remember them. But then I'm probably a lot older than you. I never had any of them. I don't recall that they were something old people had at all. They were just certain type of people that had them. And some of them were exclusive. I don't think a curb feeler guy would ever have the...

    Rear Fender Flare Removal?

You can find a bag of those clips $5.99 for 100. Just be sure to get the right ones. I know the Honda car and the Honda ATV use the same ones, just different sizes. 8mm and 10mm. I see on the Jeeps two different lengths. Some stubby ones. dc For $8.99 at Harbor Freight I got a pair of...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I will look for the scales and weigh mine. A lot of the miles per gallon depends on the engine. And if it is the same 3.7 liter V6 they will both use a fairly similar amount of gas. Which is what your Edmunds figures show. As to aerodynamics, there is a lot of wind here, which batters any...

What did you do to your jeep today?

You mean dollar wise? That wasn't the case here when I was looking end of last year. But then all the kjs were older and had more miles, so ... dc Did I mention I'm starting to see my KK as dependable. Just starts every time.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I'm going to keep this in mind TomMudd, because that is yet on my list. Drain and flush and refill radiator, I think I may also replace the thermostat. I'll get an oem. I already have the Hoat anti freeze. dc

What did you do to your jeep today?

Went to two junkyards. Asked for a spare tire for the Jeep at one. No. Got Honda parts so I can drive the Honda to work at 40 mpg, rather than the KK at what, 16 mpg? I filled the tank, and then when I fill it again I will calculate the mileage. That's the only way to do it. Keep a...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I'm not finding an ARB bumper for the KK. Only the KJ. dc I guess the other thing I should say about it, is, look at the percentages. Probably 50,000 miles on the econo box in Utah (4 years here) and hit two deer, this year only and one zero damage, the other some damage. What are the odds...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I'll have to look at the ARB bumper. This was the second one I hit with the econo box. The first one did zero damage to the econo box. His legs hit the 5 mph bumper on the passenger side and he flew up and out to the side. Zero damage. This one was bigger and hit the drivers side corner...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Well, the only thing I did to the Jeep yesterday was drive it to work, which I didn't want to do, as it gets less than one half the gas mileage as the Honda, but I had to. As the Honda got in an argument with a deer and suffered from it. The front is nicely smashed in on the driver's front...
