    Lift Gate Glass Open Switch

That's what I have started to do. So it kinda sorta works. But still I need to take it out and hopefully replace it. And see what fixing can be done to it. dc

    Lift Gate Glass Open Switch

Well, I have sort of found it. It appears on lift-gate handle, Mopar 57010158AE. https://www.moparwholesaleparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-lift-gate-handle-57010158ae?c=bT0xJmw9NSZuPVJlY29tbWVuZGVkIFByb2R1Y3RzJms9MQ%3D%3D It's in the 2nd photo to the right of the right license plate light. The...

    Lift Gate Glass Open Switch

It's mounted underneath the plastic chrome that runs across the back gate. Under, where the latch handle is to open the gate. So water shouldn't be going up to it. The glass overhangs the gate lower part, so water shouldn't go down there. But it definitely feels crusted up inside. There...

    Lift Gate Glass Open Switch

Beside the rear lift gate opening lever there is a small rectangular switch marked WINDOW on it, which I assume is to open the rear glass. The switch is frozen. Sounds feels like water got into it and rotted the insides. I can't find that switch on any of the parts lists, or the parts pdf...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Tow mode is only on the KK. I thought (meant) KJ and KK, but ok. Only on the KK. Now what I read on a post somewhere was all KKs have the tow mode switch, even if the transmission doesn't have the tow mode. That doesn't make much sense, or does it. I know the light on the dash lights up if...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Put the code reader (Autel MK808) on the Jeep and drove to work, 22 miles. Engine got up to 203 and stayed there. Transmission up to 176 and stayed there. That indicates to me that the water pump and thermostat are working. I'm gong to do an overnight pressure test on the radiator. And...

    Transmission Temperature

I'm wondering how I can test the by-pass valve in the transmission line. Any ideas? dc

    Transmission Temperature

Well, to add any fan and clutch I should take off the shroud and the over flow box. And if I do that I can then easily access the water pump and lower hose, and thermostat. And then maybe I can determine what all those hoses down there are for. I see what looks to be the power steering going...

    Transmission Temperature

Thanks Howard There was also a more recent thread on the mechanical cooling fan and installation of it with model numbers, etc. I'd like to reread that one if someone can find it for me. dc I think I'm settled on the Hayden 2736. I just need a fan blade to go with it. I'm going to take off...

    Transmission Temperature

What I have found so far. Some Libertys came with a trans cooler as part of the radiator. Not mine. Mine probably came with (tow package) a trans cooler as part of the a/c condenser. I have to lines underneath that seem to come from the trans and are just looped into each other, moving...

    Transmission Temperature

I went for a drive up a canyon road, off the pavement and up to the snow and wet road. I'm trying to get my trans refill level right. Going up, I went up maybe 2000 to 3000 feet in 8 or 10 miles. Steep, steady uphill, the engine went up to about 217. But the transmission temperature got up...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I put the Autel MK808 back on and drove a bit. At overnight rest the trans fluid was about 90mm. Then I drove for 20 blocks or so and managed to find the temperatures on the display for both engine and transmission. Engine got up to 208 and probably ran there on city streets. Parked at idle...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Got the Autel MK808 registered. Had to go looking for wifi, of which there is not much around here. Small town. My wifi doesn't work as I managed to lock it and can't get it to reopen. Put the MK808 on the Jeep, and couldn't find transmission temperature anywhere. Just looking in the wrong...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Got underneath and removed the old trans oil pan, which was held on with 3 bolts til l got the new pan. Changed the filter, then added fluid. Then went to work. Tomorrow I'll run it til the temp is 160 degrees and add til it's like 44 mm dc

What did you do to your jeep today?

No, I got under the Jeep and took off the old rear transmission mount cross member. And put on the new one. I used the old fasteners, except for the nuts onto the transmission mount. There was some rust on all of them but nothing that would jeopardize their holding ability. There was some...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Today I'm thinking about replacing or putting in the rear transmission cross member. But, I want to first decide if I should get a new rear transmission mount (assembly as it appears to be two parts). The 4 studs facing down into the cross member are nicely rusted and it would be more secure...
