to....morrow? Ha ha. Yes Peterbilt and KW should carry the heavy duty bulbs. Just go by the bulb number and usually add an LL to the end. They don't burn as bright but do last. Since you have the LED anyhow I would just stick with that if you fixed the problem.
Did you notice any drop in fuel mileage recently? Any CEL? Check for leaks? Did you hit the tank on something on the trail? I would check all of the above. Something is not right and I don't think it is your gauge.
I really wish it was. It's one of my good friends fathers. It was his dd up until the early 90s. He got so much greif from people about it he finally parked it back there and forgot about it. I have been bugging him for a few years to let us get it in the garage. Hoping he will give in one...
Well its high time I started one of these journals. I am slowly but surely getting my KJ up to what I want it while keeping it maintained. If you check my sig the way I am going is more of an overland type of Jeep. I rarely hit hardcore trails but do get out and about while camping/fishing...
You should definitely come to MN :badger_1:
And Bigblue we could do something this summer maybe. I am extremely busy lately doing stuff for everyone else but myself so in a month or two I am planning on going camping. I will let you know.
I was gonna chime in to make sure you solve your problem before putting the LED in. Also generally the only lights that are effected by oils are headlights. Brake lights and the such I wouldn't worry about. As TjKj said check the socket as loose contacts can arc causing higher heat burning...
I was thinking of doing the trucklite ones but they are about 1/2" smaller diameter wise then the kj. Did not want to mess with a custom installation and have them then not aim right. Would be cool though.
Yeah I do not have a buffer so I gotta go with the kits. I must say I am a big fan of 3m products. Everything I used of theirs always works well. And thanks for the compliment! :happy107:
Were you drinking? Lol. No it happens. Maybe you got a wrong/bad part or something. I would make sure everything matches up side to side and if it all seems right and its off, bring it back. One of those tubes could have got drilled wrong who knows.
I have herd that and have used a couple of products that work o.k. and would recommend that stuff. However for $20 regularly I think I got it for $14 on sale you cannot argue with the results. Plus it doesn't just fill in the scratches, it refinishes the whole lens. I did throw a nice coat of...
Thats the same one I got. You sure you did not mount one bracket outside and one inside? My installed w/o any problems. Could be a fluke. Or maybe I just got one that was right ha ha.
I pulled a 91 Accord behind mine on a Dolly. Now there is not much tongue weight with those but the I was still pulling the weight. I was very happy with how it performed. I have pulled a small enclosed with my tool box and tools and the only complaint I had with that is that I could really...
I put one of those universal Reese ones on and it worked fine on my 02. Only complaint is it hangs down low. One day when my student loans are payed off I would like to get one that sits up higher... Anyhow I would take it back. I would also double and triple check everything.
Well it has been over due for my headlights to be done. They were not too terrible but I have a hell of a time seeing at night so for me it was time. I have used the 3m kit before on my old Stratus and picked one up at Napa for only $14. I would HIGHLY recommend this kit to anyone who wants...
The truck shop I worked in we used one but I never got closer then 6" to the body with it. Ours was a very high pressure steam washer though. Not sure what pressure yours is at but I would be careful! I am in the process of doing a good clean on mine. I have the luxury of a detail shop at my...
