You can get a mirror from Best Buy or a lot of other retailers I believe, but it's just going to give you directions & connections or the emergency crash response. You won't have the full benefits of a GM OnStar system.- Atrus

Thanks, Tom...I'll have to check it out again, but as far as I can tell, everything was up to par. I DO know that the camber bolts in the front a-arms are seized up in their bushings and (allegedly) couldn't be fully rotated when I got my last alignment. Alignment was still pretty decent though...- Atrus

I am currently on Medium Duty OME's with Rancho RSX shocks. I have around 50k miles on them. The KJ has become a complete mall crawler. I don't think I have ever actually had it offroad since I installed the "real" lift - last time it was offroad I was on a spacer lift with stock shocks/springs...- Atrus

broke off oil pan bolt head
another option (that will be tough as those are small diameter bolts) is to use a dremel to cut a slot in them (if they are flush with the block surface) and then use the largest flat bladed screwdriver you can to back them out. Did this on my LS1 crank when I broke a flywheel bolt off in...- Atrus

Intermittant Gascap Error
Good to know. I filled up on Sun or Mon, drove the KJ a few days, and then it sat in the garage a few days. Friday, fired it up and got that message. Gas cap was loose. HIDS in FOGS
Point is, cheap kit or expensive kit, the reflector in an incandescent fog light housing isn't efficient at directing HID lighting. The location of the HID bulb's hot spot and the difference in intensity are too different from an incandescent bulb for it to work well. Will it be brighter? Sure...- Atrus

06 liberty hard shift from 2/3 gear
Just to throw a monkey wrench into things... My KJ has shifted hard since day 1. Usually on the 1-2 shift though. The trans/rear end also can really clunk pretty badly at times. Sense check me for 245/75's
So, FYI - seems that the Cooper AT3's fit with no problems. Only have a few miles on them, but (knock on wood) they seem to rub on the sway bar LESS than the 235/75's I had on there! I'll check it out better a little later today and see how it does at full lock in reverse and whatnot.- Atrus

Just realize you do run the risk of binding up the drivetrain, especially on a turn. IMHO, wet pavement doesn't give enough "slip" for me to be comfortable in PT4WD.- Atrus

Really good point, didn't think to mention that. In HS, a teacher brought their Jetta into Autoshop because it was running like crap. My buddy and I were trustworthy, so the teacher handed us the keys to check it out. We found a couple lbs of dog food choking up the airbox. It was on the supply...- Atrus

What's a good alternative to 265/7516 tire size? Maybe something a little skinnier an
Or 235/85, but that's reasonably tall. I remember someone putting a LT 235/85 on their KJ a few years back. I am currently running 235/75's right now, just slightly larger than the optional 235/70's my KJ came with. 245/75's going on tonight :)- Atrus

Agreed that it'd be in your best interest to drain all of the fuel out before trying to fire it again. If it has no fuel pressure, it sounds like the pump could be bad, or the thing got so varnished up it can't pump well. Doesn't seem like it'd varnish that badly in 18 months - my Camaro sat...- Atrus

Basically, to be in 4 hi you need to make sure the wheels can slip a little. I wouldn't do it on wet or dry pavement. Additionally, you just need to be cognizant of the system when you are taking turns and whatnot. You'll feel the drivetrain start to bind. Unless you are on a pretty slick...- Atrus
