Lifted Blue '02-'04 KJ on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights, MI

Anyone on here? The last two mornings I have seen a lifted blue (I think, it's dark out) '02-'04 KJ with graphics on the side heading south on Van Dyke around 17 mile. I believe they turned to head east on 14 mile this morning. Just wanted to see if it's anyone on here!

Transmission cooling line/hose replacement - options?

So, I noticed a small puddle under the passenger front of my KJ a little while back - week or so. Been getting a little bigger every time I park. I assumed it was the radiator or an engine coolant hose as it's got 70k on it.I finally decided I couldn't be in denial anymore and checked it out...

ESP/BAS ABS Skid Lights on steady

WAIT!!!!! Don't go replacing the clock spring... I had the same issue on my 2007. It was the result of a crap piece of wire going to the passenger rear ABS sensor. Others (on LOST) have had this issue as well. I have a bunch of pics and wanted to write up a "how-to" but never have yet...

    JBA Wheels spacers

I would think spacers would make rubbing on the fog light door worse in the vast majority of cases.

    OEM steel wheel questions.

Aaron - apparently, I was wrong. Check this post: http://jeepkj.com/forum/showpost.php?p=389778&postcount=1 No reply, but looks like TPMS was working on his steel wheels.

Every time I re-fuel it shoots out filler

This isn't a "topping off" issue. If the pump is left on full flow, when the auto shutoff engages a good cup or so of gas spits out and runs down the quarter panel. Like I said - for the last couple of gallons, just fill it at about 1/2 flow. Seems to work well for mine.

    OEM steel wheel questions.

Not sure, but I don't think that the TPMS plays nice with steel wheels. That's just something I think I read - I don't have TPMS or steel wheels on mine, so I don't know for certain. Always could paint the chrome...black, gunmetal, graphite.

    235 or 245?

I'm glad to see that the AT2's are in demand still - hopefully they'll keep producing them. I plan to go back to the AT2's for my next set of tires.

    235 or 245?

If you're looking for absolutely no rub and can't deal with any, I'd definitely go 235. Each vehicle is different. Stock, some folks run 245/70 A/T's with no rub. I had a little lift and got some rub with them. I now have OME's and 235/75's...and I still get a little rub on the sway bar at...

Every time I re-fuel it shoots out filler

I have this issue regularly on my 2007. I fill it with the nozzle wide open until I know there's only a couple of gallons left to go, and then I'll finish with the nozzle about 1/2 way. The auto-stop on the pump still works and I don't get the spillage.

EDIT - SOLD! Priced out on tirerack for a comparison of new cost, they'd be $730 shipped to MI.

    KJ build, well, sorta

Depends what you want - I don't see durability as any more or less of an issue on a 4x2 than it is on a 4x4. Spacers are good enough for a 4x4 if you don't care about ride quality. 4x4 or 4x2, spacers will make it ride worse.

    KJ build, well, sorta

Well, right - but with some JBA UCA's, it'd allow for additional lift, right? With the OEM UCA's, 926's, and 3/8" top plate spacers, I can't do any type of clevis lift on my 2007 - UCA is too close to the spring. I'm basically maxed out right now unless I get JBA UCA's

    KJ build, well, sorta

Think of it this way. Regular 2wd vehicle with an open differential (non-locker or LSD) is really 1 wheel drive - only 1 wheel is really doing the work, the other is along for the ride. A 4 wheel drive with open diffs is really 2 wheel drive. More drive wheels = more traction. So...

    KJ build, well, sorta

Wasn't it Long Tall Texan over on LOST that had a lifted 2wd? I'd say lift and throw a locker in the rear then. Long Tall actually has his really high since he doesn't have to worry about unfavorable CV angles. You'd still be limited by the IFS setup, but I'd think could actually lift it...

    FS - (5) General Grabber AT2's, 245/70/16

Hard for me to quantify - I'd use my calipers or something to measure, but everything is packed away in storage (so frustrating). I used a quarter on each side to show the wear difference - best guess is about 1/8" at most? I wouldn't hesitate to run them on my vehicle whatsoever. No patches...

Anyone Got photos Inside Front Doors? For adding Insulation?

Yes, I, too, would be interested in heated mirrors. I've also considered throwing some sound deadening around the KJ to quiet it up a little more. Was really considering selling it, but my mind set now is to keep it as it's almost paid off. I'll see what's going on in the spring and make my...
