    White side in or out?

I like the white lettering out. In case my, with the nice wheels, my Liberty being white, and the bold lettering of the BFG's, it looks like it was meant to be! In either case, it doesn't matter. Adding any type of meaty tire looks good on a Liberty.

    Sky Slider Roof

I wish I could say I liked it, but I really don't. While the sliding roof looks kind of neat from afar, it doesn't seem very practical. A tight seal (water/wind) on that slider also seems like an engineers' nightmare. As stated above, opening and closing of the slider looks awkward and...

    Super quick question!

Super quick question for you folks. So installing the skids, thus far, has been much easier than I thought. However- I understand, when installing the skids, the transmission skids attaches using the back two bolts of the engine (or front) skid...But, which order would overlap the...

New member with a gas tank question???

x3. When it stops the first time, I don't even attempt to fill it up with another drop. Must be the angle of the neck of the fuel tube or something...cause once it's full, it's full.

Inquiring minds want to know! Skids

Thanks Corwyyn. How about that gold nut-zert related looking thing already on the end of the installing tool? What's that for...do I stick the regular nut-zert over that gold peice, or take that thing off (it's threaded) And just curious, but what's the point in holding the "non-threaded"...

Inquiring minds want to know! Skids

All right, I've researched this stuff for awhile, but am perplexed by a few things on installing the skid plates. The front skid, I think it's known as the engine skid (though all the instructions say transfer case skid for all three), seems like a no-brainer. It comes with four regular bolts...

2008 Jeep Liberty leaked on Car and Driver

I like it, but not as much as "our" model. The sun roof is super cool, and I like the storage compartment, but per the article, it looks too close to the Nitro for me. I'm sure it isn't news for most of you, but I would have thought they might have bumped engine size to the 4.0 for the newer...

    Tire Dressing...

x2. I really don't like the "shine" of a tire. However, I do like a clean looking tire, with the white lettering, well, white. I've always used one of the cheapest, yet most effective, products out there. 1. A plastic scrub brush 2. Bon Ami. 3. A little elbow grease. Stuff...

    Recommended trails near Albuquerque?

Hello all- Just moving here, along with just recently buying the Jeep, I'm clueless on any trails near Albuquerque. In addition, does anybody know of a good trail book out on the market that covers New Mexico? All the 4x4 trail books for the Southwest are either for AZ, Co, UT, and CA. I...

    Engine Skid Discontinued?

That's pretty strange...considering the engine skid hasn't changed at all. From 2002-2007 models...it seems they are canceling out a lot potential business from tons and tons of Liberty owners. I guess I should feel lucky as my shipment from Jparts was sent out over a week ago...and it...

    Just hit 70,000!

Yeah, I would imagine it would, though I usually go pretty easy on a new car until it has 1,000-2,000 miles or so...after that, I don't mind setting the cruise on 85mph for hours on end. I've done my fair share of trips driving from Kingman, AZ and ABQ...just not in the Jeep yet.

    ABS problems? Need input-

That's a good thought to bring up, and a valid one...but unfortunately, it's not the case. The first time it happened, I assumed that's exactly what happened and paid no real attention to the fact, but with the third and fourth time, I did manage to look around for anything that would have...

    ABS problems? Need input-

Hello again! I've read as much as I can find regarding the recall for the 2007 Liberty ABS problems...and getting the ABS computer reprogrammed, or "flashed". But I'm a little confused. I also read the TSB/recall for 2007's, but when I go to the Jeep website for recall information, and...

Little Red Light in dash-I want it to flash!

I agree with that, then again, I wouldn't expect someone else to intervene while a thief is tampering with my car. But if I notice it going off in front of my house, at two in the morning, I'll be greeting somebody with a Louisville Slugger in my left hand and a Smith and Wesson in my right...
