Mine is easy.....just bring my trailer up to the tire area..and bam its in...
here a pic of my tow rig...it gives you a better visual about where exactly the ball it....its slight in front of the tire...
Well a standard Cinder block is ~16" LONG....from the end of the receiver to the edge of the ball is about 14-1/2" to 15" long. And the receiver almost stick out 8" from the edge of the bumper. Hope this helps.
I think this is one of the better aftermarket hitches available for the KJ. The receiver is extra long, and the tubing is quite hidden. Here are some pictures....
(this one was built in Burlington, ontario i believe. It seems like UHAUL sources these hitches from Local supplies...)
sorry to thread hi-jack. So I tried this earlier this afternoon. After cycling the ignition....i get a message which says "DONE" then it seems to flash every 3-5 seconds.
No codes came up.
I would personally check to see if you have any voltage at the plug first, or even before that check fuses.
If you have voltage at the plug, try jumping the motor with a 12V source....see if it moves.
Bought my used Liberty, picked it up Friday at 5PM, at 8PM Installed a hitch.
Next day picked up a motorcycle to work on.....towes just fine.....sure it doest have a ton of pep...but it does just fine.
CLOSED trailers = horrible on MPG....if your moving bikes, all you need is a light weight...
So my question is.....these two codes are coming up if I plug my scanner in. If i try and delete these codes, they wont' go away.
How do I insure that these are dormant codes?
The check engine light DOES NOT COME ON, yes the bulb works.
WOw! i didn't know 20 L left when the light comes on.
These jeeps have a 75 L tank? So when the fuel light comes on I've used about 55L?
That's not bad at all then....17.11 MPG 13.75 L/100km....TOWING with the AC on. That's pretty impressive.
Why does the EVIC / over head unit say...
98 GMC JIMMY...she used to get 13.5L/100KMS city/hwy...and she had 295K on her.
04 Saturn Vue with Honda V-6...she used to get 13L/100KM
I was VERY aware that I wouldn't be getting astronomical MPG, but I want to insure that my cylinder misfire code is a dormant code?
From my jimmy I have...
Hey.
I think its an inactive code, but when I try and clear it with my code reader, it does not clear it at all.
When I turn the key....prior to starting the engine the check engine light does light up...so its not a bulb issue.
Background: Bought the jeep 2 weeks ago from a GM / CADDY...
