    Loud rattle around windshield

My new '05 is doing this since the weather got cold also. Top of the windshield..near the middle I think. Must be something to do with the seal contracting in the cold weather...

How is the Day Star 2.5"

I've only had mine about 2,000 miles or so but I love it so far. Best $177 I've spent on this Jeep yet.

Anybody here run your own Sirius antenna??

I hadn't thought of that yet. Thanks everyone! (whistle)

    Tire Question

What I can't figure out is why people are saying 245 on a gas KJ and 255 on a CRD KJ. (Aeh) They are identical...if anything my wife's gas KJ sat a tad higher than mine when both were stock. Anybody know what the deal is here? In any case, 245/70-16s will be the largest perfect fit on a...

Anybody here run your own Sirius antenna??

I bought a Sirius radio car kit. I've just left the antenna laying on the dash so far. It picks up OK that way, but not great by any means. I want to actually stick it out on the roof. Problem is, I have no clue how to get the antenna out of the roof with the connection end inside on the...

    Ordered Revo's!

My wife has 15,000+ miles on her Revos...they are showing very little wear. I have 13,500 miles on my stock Goodyear STs....they are wearing rapidly. You really can tell a world of difference between a GOOD tire and a tire that sucks. Funny thing is...pricewise there isn't much difference...

Pics of cv angles with rustys lift?

I don't have the Rusty's lift..but I can tell you that after lifting mine 1.5" in the front my CV joints were still at almost no angle at all. Should be perfectly fine there.

    Ordered the lift!

I put the Daystar 1.5" front/2.0" rear spacer lift on mine. cost me $177 for the kit. Installed in 4 hours with garage tools. My jeep sits level all the way around now when measured at the wheel wells. I've had ZERO problems and LOVE this lift. The ride actually was BETTER than stock after...

    Skid Plate Part Numbers

Mine has the recess for the oil filter, hole for the drain plug, cost $28.00 at the dealer, and I had it in three days. And it did not use the part number you listed. I just wonder if they are listing them under a different number for '06 so they can charge more for them, even though they are...

    Skid Plate Part Numbers

This is NOT the part number of the Mopar tranny skid I put on my '05 CRD. Is this a new updated one or something? (Aeh)

Jeep engineer + diesel engine = moron

Thanks for the link. Perhaps I could get more information, or at least a hint of whether or not they believe the closed crankcase setup is really going to be a problem. I just wish Jeep had thought this through more before they brought it to market. I don't like thinking that my brand new...

Jeep engineer + diesel engine = moron

The other diesel engines used in U.S. vehicles such as the Cummins diesel do not have the blowby gasses and oil clogging up intercoolers, intakes, etc. I asked Jeep why the Liberty engine has this problem. Why was it designed this way? What's up with the closed crankcase ventilation setup? Will...

    The Little Things

Like I'm the only person on here that's got some complaints. :-k Whatever. At least the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages! Overall I love this Jeep, otherwise I wouldn't be driving it. The only complaints I have are things that are common complaints with the KJ, and many people...

    The Little Things

AMEN to that. There is absolutely NOTHING that can compare to the sound of a diesel engine clattering and rattling upon startup on a cold winter day. (whistle) When moving to the Jeep Liberty from lots of previous pickup trucks, here are a few things I quickly appreciated: 1.) No dash...

Considering KJ purchase, seeking feedback on certain things

This is EXACTLY how I felt too. I wanted the 6-speed REALLY bad. And I still think the 6-speed would enhance the CRD package. But giving up the far superior engine for a particular transmission didn't make sense to me. Something to remember...the automatic in the CRD is different than the...

    selling my renegade

Yeah, let's see... You are trying to make a patriotic statement, but in order to do it you're going to give your money to a Japanese company?? Hmmm... I'm not following the logic there. :-k

    Liberty Sport Special Edition

That kind of sucks. But then again, the only good my "oh *hit" bar does is it gives the wife a place for her feet. #-o I guess I kind of like that new package. Depends on how much they charge for it.

    Question about brakes/ABS

I'll put it this way: My wife's '04 has NO ABS. My '05 does have ABS. As far as trusting them in an emergency situation, I'd rather be driving my wife's non-ABS any day of the week. Period. ABS gets down right scary when you only have X-amount of feet to get your vehicle stopped in.

    2005 question

My '05 CRD is the most difficult vehicle I've ever owned to get the tires to squeal. Why? Because you have to wait for the turbo to spool up. It sucks...you can hit the throttle and it'll fall on it's face. 0.5 seconds later the turbo will spool up and off you go like a racecar. It's a...
