There are chemical converters on the market, you paint it on rust and it turns it into a paintable surface, but you have to cover it in paint after the chemical process dries. Mopar Rockrail maintenance
I've kicked the idea of painting the rims around for a while, and always stop myself from doing it. I guess I feel the same way, and they are in showroom condition so it's not like I'd be painting them for protective reasons, it would be for appearances alone...... 2.5" Daystar kit is ordered....
The last phase is now complete.....got my "after lift" front end alignment this morning. Tech told me the bottom of my tires were tracking 1.5" farther out than the tops, which he said is common with a lift. Got the "after lift" alignment done this morning, then after hitting a few items on the "honey do list" I took a nice ride through the woods on a couple hunting trails. How often Do You Wash/Wax the Jeep?
I've been very inconsistent with my cleaning & waxing..... When I first bought the Renny I washed it often and waxed it 3 times in it's first year.
