That may have just been my camera, and I had a mechanic grabbing around there. Anyone had to get this replaced yet? And I am sure if I replace one I will have to replace the other.
I am trying not to replace this yet... can I drive it around like this? I don't want to have someone to have to do A huge project on this. Can I just buy a small part to fix it?
I just had my upper and lower ball joints in an attempt to get rid of this knocking. Turns out now I have new parts but the same knocking. I got looking and I found out where it was coming from... It looks like the arm slides a fraction of an inch and makes noises when stopping, turning ect. Any...
I did some research about this and I didn't really get a good answer. I removed the seats from the Jeep and used a fabric cleaning solution and with a steam vac. I then used cleaned it with water to make sure that all the solution was removed. when they dried they still look like they have...
It is a 2005, it has been serviced in this area at Jeep as well. Only thing is I lifted it, I don;t know if that would void anything.
Just got off the phone with them and they said it was repaired in 2006 which was right before I bought the Jeep...
So I just went crawling under my jeep and took some pics of what I saw, I also see what looks like a leak on my rear diff and some residue where the drive shaft connects to the tranny...
That's what I dont get, I wash the Jeep all the time and spray underneath the car too, I need to have a clean car for what I do for work and it sits in a garage most of the time since I work from home and I am about 15 miles away from the water...
As for the rear if I kick the tire it sounds...
I have no clue how it could get so rusty, my jeep has never seen snow/salt, it has been a Florida car. Plus, I dont drive hard and we have no pot holes or anything of that nature in SWFLA. Any ideas about the rear wheels?
I have some pictures of my CV joints, every time I hit a bump with my wheel turned from both ways it sounds like the wheel is wiggling around. I had new brakes and rotors installed a few months ago and I get a squeaking at low speeds, it started when the guy from the tire shop down the street...
The jeeps have their problems but it will start when you turn the key and it is easy to get fixed. A Rav 4 is cute... The jeep gets terrible gas mileage. I really can't wait to have a car that gets 25-30 miles to the gallon, paying around $4 a gallon in a 20 gallon tank gets really old. But, it...
I always see those ads on tv for WipeNew... I have tried Mother's Back to Black before and it looked good but it lasted about a week. Has anyone tried WipeNew? I have been thinking about getting it but I never buy things on tv like that. The reviews on youtube look good but you never know who...
My parking brake is all messed up but it makes the noise in reverse as well... Try resetting your e-brake - put it in reverse and roll about 10 mph then pull firmly on the handle. You should hear a clunk. If the noise changes after that you know its your ebrake, if it remains then back to the...
I just tried putting the jeep in reverse and pulling up the e-brake and it made a clunk and seemed to be working fine after that. I mean I don't think I will be pulling any drifts in it but the noise seemed to go away. I don't ever need to use the e-brake, since the biggest hill here is an ant...
It is just strange that all this happened when I replaced the pads and rotors... I am hoping it is an easy fix? It only makes noise at low speeds, very low speeds.
