Has anyone installed an EVIC (not OTIS) in a 2002 KJ?
I installed an EVIC (56042756AG) in my 2002 Limited. I added the temperature sensor up front and five TPMS sensors and everything works as expected. My EVIC came from a junked Chrysler 300M. Most of the functions work correctly, but I am unable to do the key-fob changes to things like door...- beartard

I just put in a JVC KD-R900 JVC KD-R900, mostly for two reasons: I already had a JVC HD-radio box, and it had a remote, wired microphone for bluetooth. '02 Limited, 108kmi Other than regular maintenance and recalls (ball joints), the only thing that's gone wrong is the A/C condenser. Couldn't be happier with the thing.- beartard

04Liberty said it right. Two EVICs with the same part number can behave differently in your Liberty if they were originally meant for other cars. My 02 Limited has an EVIC from a 300M in it. I bought it because of the tire pressure sensors. All the normal stuff works, but the "programmable"...- beartard

I'll just say that the heat coming at me was definitely greater with the '05 controls installed than with the '02 controls put back in. It might not be scientific, but it was definitely hotter than usual, even for outside air. :) -

I tried, but I had one-and-a-half problems. The major problem was that, even on the bluest setting, the thermostat wouldn't shut the heat off completely. The other is I could never get my A/C to work, but I've since discovered I have a leak that needs fixing somewhere. -

What is better, In-Channel Deflectors or Stick On?
I got some in-channel myself. The previous owner had some of the external ones and I think the in-channel set looks so much better. I think mine are made by "Wade." But even the in-channel shades have a sticky surface you're supposed to let cure to the rubber in the channel for a few days...- beartard

Gas Overflowing?
To the OP, does your locality require vapor-recovery hoses at gas pumps? I've never had mine overflow, but the pumps here definitely stop a lot more quickly than places I've been without them.- beartard

Best satellite radio integration
Most Chrysler radios can integrate with mopar's sirius kit, but it's prohibitively expensive, especially with much cheaper and better alternatives out there. Another EVIC/TPMS question. Dealership sucks.
Just my final update in case any lurkers read this and want to do it later. Got new tires installed. Sensors were put in for free. Everything works fine as far as TPMS goes. Training the sensors did not give a horn-chirp, unlike some how-tos said.- beartard

New Head unit
Looks good! The hidey-hole is pretty much useless anyway. It's too narrow for most anything, and so deep you could lose anything that *would* fit in it. The only good thing about it is that the headunit sits further back and you don't have to use the bezel that came with the radio.- beartard
