    Smartphone shot of the day

I'd really like to do that, but when I removed the dealer decals, I saw that the paint was a half shade darker under them. Maybe some rubbing compound and red color-magic wax would work...

    EVAP Purge Solenoid/Canister

Mine was making a rattling/buzzing sound for a while, then threw a P0440. I replaced it, the leak detection pump, the gas cap, and a couple of feet of hose. All golden now.

Mighty glad I'll never have the rot problem on mine.

Back to the Future - Collectible?

Got mine too. But the previous owner went nuts on it with a yellow highlighter. :favorites68:

    Disable the Seatbelt Warning Sound

The receiver buckle on my driver side belt was going bad, so I took care of that AND the belt-chime by getting an extension buckle. Much easier to reach the button now too!

How did you first find your KJ?

Craigslist!!!!! After almost a year perusing thru Grand Cherokees, Wranglers, Durangos, Tahoes, and Explorers...the KJ's hit my radar and I bought mine within a week!

2005 Jeep Liberty Front Shock/Strut/Coilover Suggestions

That was the set I got. I just picked up a matching 18MM single from ebay for a few bucks to make the set as complete as I need it. The total price was still great.

2005 Jeep Liberty Front Shock/Strut/Coilover Suggestions

I've got the HF chrome-moly set and I love 'em.The set doesn't include a couple of sizes, but I'll probably never need a 20mm anyway.

2005 Jeep Liberty Front Shock/Strut/Coilover Suggestions

Maybe...but I don't think I would even try it without separating the ball joint...considering it takes less than a minute and makes access SOOOO much easier.

2005 Jeep Liberty Front Shock/Strut/Coilover Suggestions

I put the Moogs on my 04...and after a few months the ride height is still just a bit short of 20 inches. Couldn't beat the price with the RockAuto discount. And as long as the wife is happy with the ride, I'm happy with the cost. For the install, I picked up a ball joint separator at Harbor...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I hear ya. It's about a three hr drive to my 46 acre ranch. From where I live now it takes almost that much time to find ANY appreciable tree cover. But I still LOVES me some desert!

    Spark Plug Change

I got the Ultra-Power's from Rock-Auto. I almost got some cool solar yellow ones from Ebay, but they were over twice the price, so....nah.

    Spark Plug Change

I just changed my plugs today for the first time since I got my Libby, and I too can attest that gaps can seriously degrade. My old plugs were at nearly .08 and the center electrode was nearly level with the insulator. Cool thing about the new coil packs I installed...they have a flexible washer...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Replaced plugs, coil packs, and the rear upper control arm this morning. I checked inside the ball joint boot and found the grease was pretty minimal, so I broke out the needle adapter and filled that puppy up. Had to use an extra jack to orient the differential so the ball joint stud would drop in.

HOW TO: Install an EVIC or OTIS (overhead computer)

Seems to me like it would work. I would definitely not go any older than 05. As a rule the junkyards in my area are pretty damn proud of their stuff, and seem to line up with ebay prices for the most part. That's why I just avoid the driving and use ebay.
