I'd really like to do that, but when I removed the dealer decals, I saw that the paint was a half shade darker under them. Maybe some rubbing compound and red color-magic wax would work...
Mine was making a rattling/buzzing sound for a while, then threw a P0440. I replaced it, the leak detection pump, the gas cap, and a couple of feet of hose. All golden now.
The receiver buckle on my driver side belt was going bad, so I took care of that AND the belt-chime by getting an extension buckle. Much easier to reach the button now too!
Craigslist!!!!! After almost a year perusing thru Grand Cherokees, Wranglers, Durangos, Tahoes, and Explorers...the KJ's hit my radar and I bought mine within a week!
That was the set I got. I just picked up a matching 18MM single from ebay for a few bucks to make the set as complete as I need it. The total price was still great.
Maybe...but I don't think I would even try it without separating the ball joint...considering it takes less than a minute and makes access SOOOO much easier.
I put the Moogs on my 04...and after a few months the ride height is still just a bit short of 20 inches. Couldn't beat the price with the RockAuto discount. And as long as the wife is happy with the ride, I'm happy with the cost. For the install, I picked up a ball joint separator at Harbor...
I hear ya. It's about a three hr drive to my 46 acre ranch. From where I live now it takes almost that much time to find ANY appreciable tree cover. But I still LOVES me some desert!
I just changed my plugs today for the first time since I got my Libby, and I too can attest that gaps can seriously degrade. My old plugs were at nearly .08 and the center electrode was nearly level with the insulator. Cool thing about the new coil packs I installed...they have a flexible washer...
Replaced plugs, coil packs, and the rear upper control arm this morning. I checked inside the ball joint boot and found the grease was pretty minimal, so I broke out the needle adapter and filled that puppy up. Had to use an extra jack to orient the differential so the ball joint stud would drop in.
Seems to me like it would work. I would definitely not go any older than 05.
As a rule the junkyards in my area are pretty damn proud of their stuff, and seem to line up with ebay prices for the most part. That's why I just avoid the driving and use ebay.
