2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7 V6 .
A couple of the plastic injector wire connectors have the piece you depress to release the connector from the injector broken . I have a spare wiring harness that I can remove these plastic connectors from if they can be removed .
Is there a way to remove the wires...
I was replacing the original because I kept getting a code for # 4 injector . I swapped coils & injectors around & did extensive testing of the wiring . I finally found that the ground signal pin in the pcm for # 4 injector had a constant reading to pcm case / ground & the pins for other...
I sent it to the company I purchased the rebuilt pcm from for a core . I questioned them about it after they issued the refund & they said they would have to check their cores & get back with me .
There are several online companies that advertise that if you send them your pcm they will test & repair it or send you another one & take your old one for a core . Some of these companies offer a lifetime warranty .
I purchased one with a lifetime warranty & it didn't work properly when I...
Billwill , I saw & replied to your post on the other forum . I checked battery voltage with engine off on the battery posts & got 12.76 volts . With all wires connected & the engine idling I got 14.33 volts on the battery posts .
Since the engine doesn't cut out till about 2200 rpm's , perhaps...
I don't think the 05 has the battery temperature sensor , correct me if I'm wrong .
I just checked rockauto & they list one for an 04 but not for an 05 .
2005 Liberty 3.7 . With field wires plugged into alternator I get a code for # 4 injector & engine won't rev above 2200 rpm's .
Unplug field wires , clear codes & engine runs fine . Have tried two alternators & batteries & new PCM .
I read to test the alternator to see if it's charging to...
2005 Liberty 3.7 , Anyone know if there is a ground wire that comes out of the harness & has a ring terminal on it that one of the bell housing bolts goes through ? The way the harness lays across the top of the bell housing & being behind the engines heads , it's really hard to see back in there .
The first thing I did was swapped injectors , same problem , then I started checking wires , I verified one wire to the injector had power & then I verified continuity on the ground wire that goes from the injector to the pcm . Just to completely satisfy myself I bared a small spot in the ground...
I have a 2005 3.7 Liberty & I have a code for # 4 injector . I have definitely narrowed the problem down to no ground signal from the pcm for that injector . I traced the wire from the injector to the pcm connector , bared a small spot in the wire just outside the pcm connector & there is no...
Injector # 4 isn't firing . A noid light won't flash when connected to the connector of # 4 injector . The light flashes when connected to other injectors . As previously stated I have verified power on one wire at the connector & verified continuity of the other wire from the injector connector...
According to what I read the camshaft position sensor sends a signal to the PCM at the appropriate time for the PCM to send a signal to the appropriate injector & that injector fires . If that is correct , if for some reason the camshaft position sensor skips sending a signal for # 4 injector...
1st , Is there anywhere that sells boots for 3.7 Liberty drive shafts , not axle shafts ? 2nd , I'm in the process of installing an engine in my Liberty & in the process I'm installing all new freeze / expansion plugs .
All the kits I've found doesn't include the plugs for the back of the...
While looking for new motor mounts for my 2005 Liberty I found what appears to be the round rubber mount piece with the bolt hole in the center . It doesn't have the metal around it that bolts to the engine . Anyone ever replace the rubber part in the existing mount ?
I'm pulling a 3.7 out of my liberty tomorrow if it's not raining . Will removing or loosening the one long bolt through the motor mounts allow the engine to slide forward or will the engine & transmission not raise high enough for the mount to clear the bracket the mount sits in ? 2005 Liberty ...
Just guessing but when you get the backfire & no start , I'd pull the plugs & see if they were all wet . Since it starts after sitting a day or two , sounds like it's flooding the plugs out .
